BMW India To Launch New Electric Scooter On 24th July – Official

BMW CE 04 Electric ScooterBMW CE04 is not for everyone but is perfect for individuals who want a unique vehicle to stand outAfter the launch of its R 1300 GS, BMW Motorrad India seems to have shifted its gaze towards bringing electric 2W to Indian market. The German brand aims to offer most of its motorcycle portfolio in India and in that regard, BMW has done a good job. Now we will witness the launch of BMW CE 04 on 24th July.BMW CE 04 Electric ScooterConsidering the C 400 GT costs Rs 11.25 lakh (Ex-sh), we can expect CE 04 to cost more than that, of course. At that price, it has no logical competition and has carved a niche for itself. With a futuristic design language, BMW CE04 shines as a stylish product. A statement, if we may. It has a lot of cuts, creases, and crevices that make it look like something that came right out of a CyberPunk world that happened 1,000 years into the future.BMW Electric Scooter CE 04This is not the first maxi scooter from BMW Motorrad in India. We have BMW C 400 GT maxi scooter. Despite being priced at Rs. 11.25 lakh (Ex-sh), this scooter has found a home with a lot of automotive enthusiasts. This might be what inspired BMW to bring CE 04 electric scooter as well. Currently, it is sold in global markets like North America and Europe.BMW CE 04 Electric ScooterBMW has cleverly pooled various parts from other vehicles. Not necessarily motorcycles or scooters. For example, the 8.9 kWh battery pack on CE04 is essentially one of 11 battery modules in a BMW iX. The motor on CE04 electric maxi scooter, which makes 42 bhp of power and 62 Nm of torque, is essentially 1/3rd section of the same motor found in X1 PHEV SUV by BMW.BMW CE 04 Electric ScooterIt is not just powertrains. BMW CE04 electric maxi scooter has a 10.25” horizontal screen as its instrument cluster. It is similar to the screen that is found on older 3 Series sedan. This electric scooter from BMW is unlike anything we have ever seen in India, in a good way. It is radical in its design and sensational when it comes to street presence.Specs & FeaturesIt has a long wheelbase and a wide profile which lends it a muscular stance. Due to the batteries stashed in its central tunnel, this is not a step-through scooter. Storage has been moved to the side and to gain access to it, one has to open side body panels which drop down like a tailgate on a pickup truck.BMW CE 04 Electric ScooterBMW CE04 comes jam-packed with technology. LED headlights, keyless access, BMW Motorrad connected tech, three ride modes, ASC, dual channel ABS, and more. As it is an electric vehicle, it gets reverse functionality too. With a quick charger, 0-80% comes up in just 65 minutes.Hardware componentry include 35mm front telescopic forks, rear mono-shock, belt-drive, dual disc setup at front and single disc at the rear, single-sided swingarm, and more. Due to its hefty 231 kg weight, BMW CE04 electric maxi scooter promises a range of only 130 km and a top speed of 120 km/h.BMW CE 04 Electric Scooter More

Bajaj CNG Motorcycle Detailed In New Spy Shots – No 1 Mileage Bike?

New Bajaj CNG Motorcycle SpiedKey USPs for Bajaj upcoming CNG bike include its robust performance, reduced running costs and off-road capabilitiesOver the years, Bajaj has achieved several milestones. It includes launching India’s first green CNG three-wheeler and the performance-oriented Pulsar bikes. Bajaj is set to make history once again, as it prepares to launch the world’s first CNG motorcycle.Bajaj CNG bike launch on 5th July – What to expect? To ensure it can serve the needs of a wide segment of users, Bajaj CNG bike will focus on both performance and fuel cost savings. CNG is cheaper than petrol, something that will reduce running costs of the bike. To ensure optimal performance, Bajaj is expected to use a 125cc engine for its CNG bike. It is to note that Bajaj has plans to launch multiple CNG bikes by 2025. The first of these could be the 125cc model.New Bajaj CNG Motorcycle SpiedTest mules spotted earlier had revealed that at least two models are close to production stage. One of these appears to be a regular commuter bike, whereas the other was seen with off-road equipment such as knuckle guards and fork gaiters. It is possible that two or more variants could be introduced on the launch day. The variants could also be designed based on the target audience such as urban and rural demographics.CNG + Petrol to add convenienceIn view of the size and safety aspects, only a small CNG tank would be suitable for a motorcycle. Bajaj CNG bike blueprints have revealed that the CNG tank is safely enclosed within the structure of the bike. Due to this, the CNG fuel tank will have limited fuel carrying capacity.New Bajaj CNG Motorcycle SpiedAs a regular petrol tank will also be available, users won’t have to face the prospect of running out of fuel. CNG + Petrol is also relevant in the current setup where the number of CNG fuel stations are relatively fewer in comparison to the regular petrol/diesel fuel pumps. Mileage of Bajaj CNG Motorcycle is likely to be very high, possibly making it the No 1 mileage bike of India.New Bajaj CNG Motorcycle SpiedBajaj CNG bike priceIt is apparent that significant efforts and resources have gone into the design and development of Bajaj CNG bike. However, one can still expect a competitive pricing policy. As it will be an entirely unique and new offering, some sections of consumers may have hesitations. Launching the CNG bike at a premium can prompt many consumers to stick with the regular petrol-only bikes. It is likely that an attractive, limited period initial offer price will be announced for Bajaj CNG bike.New Bajaj CNG Motorcycle SpiedTo make it stand out and position it as a VFM product, Bajaj can also introduce some best-in-class or segment-first features with its CNG bike. Being the world’s first dual-fuel two-wheeler, Bajaj CNG bike deserves some special attention. For complete peace of mind of customers, Bajaj may also offer a longer warranty package. There can be various other surprises that will be revealed only on 5th July. More

TVS Apache RTE Racing (Electric Motorcycle) – Can Hit 200 Km/h Top Speed

When compared to the most powerful road-going TVS bikes, Apache RTE race-spec machines offer next-level performance and agile handlingWith around four decades of racing lineage to back on, TVS Motor is charging ahead with electric 2W motorsport. We’re talking about the recently unveiled TVS Racing E-OMC (Electric One-Make Championship). Company had taken the wraps off TVS Apache RTE motorcycles specifically built for this championship some time ago. But now, we can see them in action as well.TVS Apache RTE – Electrifying!2024 TVS Racing e-OMC has commenced, featuring race-spec Apache RTE motorcycles. This further cements TVS’ association with motorsports and further incorporates company’s ethos of pioneering electric mobility solutions. TVS e-OMC features an exclusive format of racing on race-bred Apache RTE motorcycles. TVS is India’s first OEM to foray into EV racing.Combining electric mobility and racing, we get the new Apache RTE bikes. These are fully-faired track machines that boast best-in-class power-to-weight ratio. TVS has developed Apache RTE motorcycles in collaboration with a few partners. Sharp styling and TVS Racing Factory livery are notable attributes. This motorcycle is based on a custom carbon fibre chassis that also acts as the bike’s battery case. Rear subframe which houses a racing seat, is made of carbon fibre too and so are the wheels. Thus reducing bike’s overall weight and increasing chassis stiffness and rigidity, should allow for better handling on the track.Fairing is beautifully crafted and is touted to have best-in-class aerodynamic efficiency. Apart from that, TVS Apache RTE packs top-notch components like Brembo brake callipers, Ohlins suspension setups and Pirelli Super Corsa tyres.Track performanceSpeaking about the capabilities of this motorcycle, TVS Apache RTE can hit 200 km/h top speed owing to its aerodynamic fairing with lowest-in-class air drag coefficient. The battery is a race-spec high-power cell unit and is mated to a liquid-cooled motor and a potent motor controller.TVS has developed an advanced BMS (Battery Management System) for this application. Because it has race-spec batteries, the motorcycle is likely to have just enough range for track work and is not aimed at ekeing out leading range figures.TVS MD Sudarshan Venu With Apache RTE Race MachineAt Round 1 of INMRC 2024 event, as many as eight riders competed in an action-packed four-lap race. New 125cc Bajaj Pulsar Spied Testing – More Details Revealed, Compared

New 125cc Bajaj PulsarAs per the new spy shots, Bajaj could be developing a new Pulsar line to carve out a much sportier version of its 125cc portfolioBajaj Auto has been working on a new 125cc Pulsar. There have been many test mule sighting instances in India and the new spy shots reveal more details about the bike. Looking at these test mules begs the question of which Pulsar subcategory it belongs to or if a new Pulsar line is under development.New 125cc Bajaj Pulsar SpiedThere is an increasing demand for feature-loaded 125cc motorcycles that fulfils fuel-efficiency demands but also offer a premium quotient. TVS is a step ahead in this regard and Hero has done a commendable job with their Xtreme 125R. However, Bajaj lacks the newness factor, something both rivals are offering.New 125cc Bajaj Pulsar Vs Pulsar P designCurrently, 125cc Pulsars (Pulsar 125 and Pulsar NS 125) are the company’s best-selling lineup and we might soon witness a third offering. Contrary to popular belief, this is less likely to be a N125 (N150 with a 125cc engine). Instead, Bajaj is likely to be spawning a whole new sub-brand or sub-lineup under its Pulsar umbrella.Recent test mules spotted show motorcycle’s side profile and we can see that it gets unique attributes of its own, while still retaining Pulsar DNA. When compared to Pulsar P range, Pulsar N range and Pulsar NS range, this upcoming 125cc Pulsar looks quite unique and looks like a more modern 125cc Bajaj Pulsar.New 125cc Bajaj Pulsar Vs Pulsar N designUnique design compared to existing PulsarsWe compared it with Pulsar P design, Pulsar N design and Pulsar NS design to see just how unique it is. Sure, there are a few parts sharing with other Pulsars. For example, the new Pulsar gets same wheels as Pulsar P150 (R.I.P.) and braking hardware. So, no petal rotors. Even the fuel tank and tank shrouds look similar to Pulsar P150.Rear tail lights and indicators along with rear tyre hugger look similar to Pulsar NS125. That said, there are many unique attributes with this new 125cc Bajaj Pulsar like flatter split seats, new tail section, new side body panels, new front mudguard, new RSU telescopic front forks with round reflector and beefy-looking suspension shrouds (covers) like a street fighter.New 125cc Bajaj Pulsar Vs Pulsar NS designExhaust setup looks almost identical to Pulsar N style bikes, but engine looks like it is gifted straight from Pulsar 125 (no prefix). Looking at the beefy suspension shrouds and single-piece handlebar, we reckon Bajaj is carving out a new street naked machine that will directly take on premium 125cc bikes.A fitting answer to Raider 125 and Xtreme 125R, if you may. Thinking in this regard, this upcoming Pulsar might get a more modern digital instrument cluster that packs many modern features. Considering 125cc Pulsars are Bajaj’s best-sellers, it makes a lot of sense for the company to expand their 125cc portfolio to incorporate a much more modern and advanced bike. What could be the name, though? Pulsar NS125Z? Pulsar N125Z?New Bajaj 125cc Motorcycle SpiedAlso read – Bajaj CNG bike launch date revealedSource More

Modified Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 RallyWhere performance is concerned, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 packs 40 bhp and 40 Nm from its 452cc Sherpa 450 liquid-cooled engineRoyal Enfield launched Himalayan 450 earlier this year and has excited a lot of enthusiasts around the world. Built to take on rough stuff, Himalayan 450 is among the best single-cylinder ADVs on the market. Spanish rider Salvatore Di Benedetto took a modified Himalayan 450 and completed Swank Rally De Sardegna held in Italy.Modified Royal Enfield Himalayan 450Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been making quite a few headlines in the recent past, albeit, not for good reasons.
