2025 Honda NS125 LA Design Patented In IndiaDominating the country’s scooter industry is Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI), which has single-handedly held this 2W segment for a very long time. All credits go to Honda Activa series of family-format scooters that made this happen. Honda also has the sporty Dio, but not a retro-style scooter.
2025 Honda NS125 LA Design Patented In India
This is where Yamaha Fascino and Vespa scooters among ICE scooters and Bajaj Chetak and Kinetic DX among EVs come into action with their retro-modern design and styling. Now, Honda has patented design of a retro scooter in India, suggesting the company could fill a void in its portfolio or just routinely protect its IPs in India. Let’s take a closer look.

Vinfast 7-Seater SUV Design Trademarked In India – 60 kWh, 450 km Range

Vinfast 7-Seater SUV Design Patented In IndiaRenowned Vietnamese brand, Vinfast, is shaping up its portfolio in India as the company has lined up VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs. Both of them are premium electric SUVs with a maximum seating capacity of 5 occupants. However, there seems to be a new electric SUV in the pipeline for India, which will be Vinfast’s first 7-seater electric SUV in India. Let’s take a closer look.
    Vinfast 7-Seater SUV
After inaugurating their first ever manufacturing facility outside of Vietnam and third operational facility globally in Toothukudi, Tamil Nadu, Vinfast seems to be gearing up for a portfolio expansion. The company has just trademarked design of a new 7-seater electric SUV in India which will appeal to both fleet buyers and large families in India.
Vinfast 7-Seater SUV Design Patented In India
We say fleet buyers because the vehicle we are looking at is called Vinfast Limo Green, which the company has listed as a “Service Vehicle” and not a “Car” on their website. It is aimed at fleet buyers looking to operate electric 7-seaters. In Vietnam, Vinfast calls it an MPV and not an SUV, which might be changed in India, considering market trends.
Where design is concerned, Vinfast Limo Green is quite good looking. It has a minimal front fascia with what looks like a connecting LED light bar along with sleek vertically arranged headlights. In fact, it looks far sleeker than VF 6 and VF 7, launching soon in India. Side profile has a strong SUV-ish silhouette accentuated by tough-looking body cladding.
    Vinfast Limo Green
    Specs & Features
Dimensionally, Vinfast Limo Green measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, 1,728 mm in height and has a 2,840 mm long wheelbase. It has large 18-inch alloy wheels and a ground clearance of 170 mm. There are disc brakes at all four corners too. Battery is a 60.13 kWh unit which promises a range of 450 km on a single charge (NEDC).
    Vinfast Limo Green
Vinfast Limo Green is a FWD vehicle with a single electric motor rated at 201 bhp of peak power and 280 Nm of peak torque. It has three driving modes – Eco, Comfort and Sport. Fast DC charging is supported and Limo Green will go from 10%-70% SOC in 30 minutes.
    Vinfast Limo Green
On the inside, Vinfast Limo Green gets a 10.1-inch infotainment screen and a minimal dashboard and a three-spoke steering wheel. Features include leatherette upholstery, 360-degree camera, a floating centre console, chrome highlights for premium appeal, three-row seating to accommodate up to 7 occupants and more.
    Vinfast Limo Green
    Will it launch in India?
Vinfast Limo Green deliveries commenced on 5th August 2025 as the company handed over the first batch to customers. Deliveries started four months after bookings began and 7 months after it debuted. There’s a good probability of Vinfast Limo Green launching in India considering market trends favouring 7-seater offerings in EV segment.
    Vinfast Limo Green
In Vietnam, Vinfast Limo Green has been priced at VND 749 Million that includes a 7-year or 1,60,000 km warranty and free charging at all V-Green public charging stations. This turns out to be around Rs 25 lakh in today’s conversion rates. If the same price is employed for Indian market, it will rival the BYD eMAX 7, Kia Carens Clavis EV and upcoming Mahindra XEV 7e. Triumph Thruxton 400 vs RE Continental GT 650 – Specs, Features

Thruxton 400 vs RE Continental GT 650The new Triumph Thruxton 400, built in collaboration with Bajaj Auto, marks a bold entry into the premium 400cc segment
Triumph Motorcycles has launched the new Thruxton 400cc café racer in Indian markets. It boasts of an attractive design with racer accents while also demonstrating outstanding performance. The new Thruxton is priced at Rs 2,74,137 (ex-showroom) and while it has no real direct rival in Indian markets, it does offer some competition to the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650.
While these two motorcycles share similarities in genre and riding style, they are set apart by a host of differences, mainly in the engine department. Here we assess these specifications to aid buyers make the right choice between these two café racers.
Thruxton 400 vs RE Continental GT – Price, Dimensions, Features
To start off, the Triumph Thruxton has been launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.75 lakh. This makes it around Rs 50k cheaper than the RE Continental GT 650 that carries a price tag which starts from Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom). We also compare these two models in terms of features, performance, mileage and displacement.
In comparison to the Triumph Thruxton 400, the RE Continental GT 650 is a relatively larger bike. While the Thruxton rides on a 1,376 mm wheelbase, that of the GT is at 1,398 mm. Ground clearance of the RE which is at 174 mm is also relatively much more than the Thruxton at 158 mm. Also, Conti GT has a higher seat at 804 mm over 795 mm seen on Thruxton.
Thruxton 400 vs RE Continental GT 650
While fuel tank capacity is at 12.5 liters on the RE, it goes up by 0.5 liters to 13 liters on the Thruxton. Where the RE Continental GT650 is set apart significantly is in terms of its kerb weight which stands at a hefty 214 kgs over 183 kgs of the Thruxton which makes it a substantial 31kg lighter.
The Thruxton is presented in colour options of Lava Red Gloss and Aluminum Silver, Pearl Metallic White and Storm Grey, Metallic Racing Yellow with Aluminum Silver, and Phantom Black with Aluminum Silver. RE, on the other hand, gets 6 colours of British Racing Green, Rocker Red, Dux Deluxe, Mr Clean, Apex Grey, Slipstream Blue.
True to its retro café racer style, 2025 Thruxton gets a simple design. It receives a contemporary instrument cluster with an analogue speedometer, small LCD screen and all LED lighting along with a USB charging port, ride-by-wire and traction control besides slip-and-assist clutch. The GT 650 gets a double cradle frame, split-pod analogue console, a single seat setup, clip on handle bars and USB charging port.
    Engine and Performance
Differing extensively in engine specs, the Triumph Thruxton 400 draws its power via a 398cc, single cylinder liquid cooled unit that offers 41.5 bhp of peak power at 9,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm torque at 7,500 rpm. It commands a higher power-to-weight ratio of 229.5 bhp/tonne.
The Continental GT 650 is powered by a significantly larger 648cc, twin-cylinder, air and oil-cooled engine that makes 47 hp power at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm torque at 5,650 rpm. It commands a power-to-weight ratio at 219.6hp/tonne. Both bikes get mated to a 6 speed gearbox. This makes the GT650 offer higher power output over the Thruxton even as the higher weight of the former relates to a lower power-to-weight ratio.
Triumph Thruxton also differs from the GT 650 as it receives a USD fork / monoshock as against the telescopic fork / twin shock absorbers seen on the GT. In terms of braking, the Thruxton gets 300mm disc / 230mm disc at the front and rear as compared to 320mm disc / 240mm disc seen on the GT. The Thruxton also gets wider tyres at 110/70-R17 / 150/60-R17 over the GT 650 that rides on 100/90-18 / 130/70-R18.
Buyers will have to choose between the Thruxton 400 and Continental GT 650 taking into consideration these differences where one is more highly priced that the other. However, the Thruxton scores over the GT 650 in terms of being relatively lighter while it also offers better rider conveniences and the latest in technology. Even simple things like tubeless tyres are standard on Thruxton, which is not with the Conti. More

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Moving Towards Production – New Details Leaked

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750Royal Enfield has had one of the most successful runs in motorcycle industry. The compay’s 350cc portfolio has been a home run for the brand and 650cc portfolio has seen great success in the middle-weight category. Now, the company will move into a higher performance ceiling with a new 750cc portfolio.
First of these 750cc motorcycles is rumoured to be the Continental GT-R 750. But there is a good probability of Himalayan 750 taking that mantle, as per latest leaked info from people aware of these developments who just confirmed that Himalayan 750 project is moving towards production. Let’s take a closer look.
    Royal Enfield Himalayan 750
    Himalayan 750 Moving Towards Production
A couple of months ago, Royal Enfield came out and officially revealed a test mule of Himalayan 750 conquering the mighty Khardung La in Ladakh region alongside Himalayan Electric test mule. This was the first time Royal Enfield showed these to the world and confirmed developments of said vehicles.
Now, a recent report from MCN reveals that Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 project is moving towards production. The statement was made by Mark Wells, who is Royal Enfield’s Global Head of Product Strategy and Industrial Design. Mr Wells did not reveal a specific timeline, but confirmed that Himalayan 750 is ahead of early prototype phase and they’re moving towards production.
    Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Teased
Himalayan 750 is one of the most demanded and most asked-for product revealed by the company’s consumer research. While it is not confirmed, it is speculated that Royal Enfield will employ a reworked version of their 650cc parallel-twin mill to carve out a bigger bore and a taller stroke, generating more power and torque.
Instead of creating an all-out off-roader, Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 will be more of an Adventure Tourer with emphasis on high speed highway cruising ability. It gets a smaller 19-inch front wheel, a semi fairing to cut down on wind resistance and what looks like a height adjustable front wind shield.
    Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Render
    What to expect?
Other notable elements include circular headlights, a single-sided exhaust, USD telescopic front forks, a rear mono-shock a split seat setup with a pronounced step, wire-spoke wheels that may or may not support tubeless tyres and lastly, the dual disc brake setup at the front, which is the distinguishing element on the 750cc test mules.
Stronger braking is probably needed to off-set the increase in performance and also weight. Features-wise, Himalayan 750 is likely to get the same TFT Tripper Dash as Himalayan 450 and will support Google Maps. Royal Enfield might incorporate more electronic rider aids in the form of Traction Control, Cruiser Control with a ride-by-wire system and others. Launch timeline might be 2025 end or early 2026.

New Hero 440cc Bike Launch Very Soon – More Coming In 2026

New Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler VariantWith a strategic partnership with Hero MotoCorp, American bike manufacturer, Harley-Davidson, has entered the country’s premium single-cyl 350cc to 450cc segment. This also allowed Hero MotoCorp to carve out a motorcycle under their brand, the Mavrick 440, which seems to be currently discontinued in India.
Hero MotoCorp CEO, Vikram Kasbekar, has now revealed that a new motorcycle developed under its partnership with Harley-Davidson will launch in Q2. As per Mr Kasbekar, one of these 440cc motorcycles will launch ‘very soon’ and more exciting products will come in 2026. Let’s take a closer look at what these could be.
    Hero Mavrick 440
    New Hero 440cc Bike Launch
As revealed in a recent interview, Hero MotoCorp has spilled the beans, revealing details of current developments and upcoming projects in the pipeline. The most interesting among these upcoming vehicles was a new motorcycle based on the 440 platform shared with American brand Harley-Davidson.
Mr Kasbekar revealed that the company will launch a new 440cc motorcycle ‘very soon’. He did not spill out whether it will be launched under Hero brand or Harley-Davidson brand. Former is the more likely outcome. We say this because Hero’s only 440cc bike, Maverick 440, seems to have been discontinued recently.
New Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler Variant
    What could it be?
Analysing the recent test mule sightings, there doesn’t seem to be any new 440cc Hero MotoCorp offerings to be launched ‘very soon’. However, the company has trademarked the Mavrick 440 Scrambler name and has even patented design of this vehicle in India, which may be the motorcycle Mr Kasbekar is mentioning. If this is true, Mavrick 440 Scrambler will feature scrambler-worthy hardware at a slightly higher price tag and will rival Royal Enfield Scram 440.
Because Xpulse 440 test mule sightings have not been reported recently, another possibility could be the re-launch of Mavrick 440, but in a more premium avatar, packing more features and equipment. This variant of Mavrick 440 was showcased at 2024 EICMA and it packed a TFT instrument cluster along with USD telescopic front forks, finished in a lovely Gold shade.
Hero embraced similar strategy with Karizma XMR 210 as the ‘Base’ variant was discontinued, leaving only the better equipped ‘Top’ variant on sale. If this is true, one can expect a slight price hike with Mavrick 440 owing to its more premium equipment. Last recorded prices started from Rs 2 lakh and went till Rs 2.25 lakh (both prices Ex-sh).

Triumph Motorcycles has launched the new Thruxton 400 in Indian markets. Triumph Thruxton 400 enhances the company’s 400cc segment where it is positioned above the Scrambler 400 X. Special attention has been paid to the overall makeup of the new Thruxton 400 which scales over the Speed 400 both in terms of visual and mechanical updates. Here we assess the similarities and differences between these two models.
Triumph Thruxton 400 vs Speed 400 – Price, Dimensions, Features
Triumph has priced the Thruxton 400 at Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Speed 400 was recently updated to a new pricing of Rs 2.46 lakh which means that the Thruxton 400 commands a premium of around Rs 28,000 over Speed 400.
    Thruxton 400 vs Speed 400
Even as the Thruxton and Speed 400cc models share some of their underpinnings, there are some differences in features, overall styling and riding stance. Where dimensions are concerned, the Thruxton and Speed differ in terms of ground clearance. Where the Thruxton 400 gets 158 ground clearance, the Speed 400 is 6mm higher at 165mm.
There is also a difference in steering angle while Thruxton 400 is also heavier at 183 kgs which is 4 kgs more than the Speed 400. Feature-wise, the new Triumph Thruxton gets half fairing, a rear seat cowl and bar end mirrors. It also receives a single seat set up, clip on handlebars with riders showing off a forward leading stance.
    Thruxton 400 vs Speed 400

The Thruxton 400 gets Apollo Alpha H1 or MRF tyre options while Speed 400 gets Vredestein tyres. Suspension too differs with Thruxton receiving 10mm added suspension travel over the Speed 400.
    Thruxton 400 vs Speed 400
Thruxton 400 vs Speed 400 – Engine Specs
Both Thruxton 400 and Speed 400 are powered by the same 398cc TR Series single-cylinder engine. However, this engine on the Thruxton 400 offers 42 hp power at 9,000 rpm as compared to 40 hp at 8,000 rpm offered on the Speed 400. Torque figures see no difference in the fact that the engine produces 37.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm on both bikes.
Inclusion of a rear sprocket, which has 2 less teeth as compared to the one seen on the Speed 400 adds to the top speed of the Thruxton 400, while it also offers better power to weight ratio. As reported, the Thruxton offers a 0-100km/h time reduced by around 1 second over 6.7 seconds offered on the Speed 400. Both vehicles get a 6-speed gearbox.

New Honda Electric Motorcycle Teaser Out – Debuts 2nd Sep

New Honda Electric Motorcycle TeaserUnlike the E-VO, which was co-developed with Wuyang, the new electric motorcycle could be an entirely Honda-developed product
Honda Motorcycles UK has released a new teaser, offering a glimpse of an entirely new electric bike. It is scheduled to make its global debut on 2nd September. The bike could also be showcased at the upcoming 2025 EICMA in November. Let’s check out the details.
    Similar to EV Fun Concept
At last year’s EICMA, Honda had showcased the EV Fun Concept electric motorcycle. The new electric bike seen in the teaser appears to have a matching profile, even though it is wrapped in camouflage. Similarities can be seen across features such as the horizontally positioned LED DRL, bar-end mirrors in circular shape, a single-sided swingarm and the distinctive design of the alloy wheels.
    New Honda Electric Motorcycle Teaser
Other noticeable details include grippy, high-performance tyres, large rear disc brake and rear monoshock suspension. The bike has sharp LED turn indicators, USD front forks, clip-on handlebars and a short tail section. The teaser reveals the distinctive hum of an electric motor, which confirms that this is an EV.
If this new bike is in fact the production version of the EV Fun Concept, it could be equipped with a fixed battery setup. Performance could be equivalent to a 500cc internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycle. Power output could be around 50 hp, with strong acceleration and highly responsive torque delivery. Rider aids and tech features could include riding modes, regenerative braking and traction control.
    New Honda Electric Motorcycle Teaser
At last year’s EICMA, Honda had said that the EV Fun Concept is designed to ensure quiet, vibration-free rides. It has several of Honda’s advanced motorcycle technologies related to smooth turning and stopping. The Concept supports CCS2 quick charger, which has the same standards as automobiles. Cruising range for the EV Fun Concept was revealed at around 100 km. This would be sufficient for city needs.
    New Honda Electric Motorcycle Teaser
The new Honda electric motorcycle revealed in the teaser has a slightly forward-leaning riding stance. Also revealed in the teaser is a TFT instrument console. One can expect a range of connected features such as access to calls, texts and music. Turn-by-turn navigation could also be part of the package.
    India launch plans
It is unlikely that Honda’s new electric motorcycle will be offered in India anytime soon. As of now, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) derives much of its sales from ICE vehicles. EV offerings include the Activa e: and Honda QC1. For the Indian market, Honda is likely to keep its focus on the entry-level EV segment in the initial stage.
    [embedded content]
Honda will be expanding its EV portfolio in the coming years. Globally, there are plans to launch 30 electric models by 2030. These will be part of the company’s long-term objective of achieving carbon neutrality for all its products and operations by 2050. For motorcycle products, the carbon neutrality target is set for the 2040s. More
