In July 2021, Royal Enfield reported total sales of 44,038 units. YoY growth is reported at 9 percent, up from 40,334 units. Volume growth stood at under 4k units. Exports almost doubled, up at 4,748 units from 2,409 units.
350cc Top Gainer
The 350cc segment continues to be a strong performer. Sales is up at 37,556 units, up from 36,384 units at 3 percent growth. In this segment, Royal Enfield offers the Classic, Meteor, Bullet and Electra. The above 350cc segment grew to 6,482 units, up from 3,950 units. Volume growth stood at just over 2.5k units. In this segment, RE offers 650 Twins and the Himalayan.
Royal Enfield Sales July 2021
MoM total sales is up from 43,048 units at 2.30 percent growth. Volume growth stood at just under a grand. MoM exports fell by about a third, down from 7,233 units at volume decline of just under 2.5k units.
MoM domestic sales growth is reported at 9.7 percent, up from 35,815 units at volume growth of 3,475 units. 350 cc MoM sales was stable. In the above 350cc segment, growth is reported at 11.95 percent, up from 5,790 units at volume growth of 692 units.

Royal Enfield sees its efforts to steady the ship bearing fruit. The past 15 months have been difficult for the world, more-so for the Indian auto industry. As the country prepped for Covid-19 pandemic, a complete lockdown was announced in late March last year. And this many months later, auto manufacturers are still picking up the pieces. In the meantime there have been good months, and lean months.
Efforts To Tackle Covid-19
Royal Enfield has introduced ‘Home Test Ride’ ‘Online Booking’ facility and recently also launched ‘Service on Wheels’. The Chennai based bike maker has also brought in ‘Contactless Purchase and Service Experience’ so as to enable customers to buy their favourite bike without stepping out of the safe confines of their home.
Home Test Rides allows for customers to visit the company website, select their most preferred vehicle and get a test ride of their desired RE motorcycle at home. Online booking then permits the buyer to visit the official website, select the motorcycle variants, colour options and view the accessories and have a look at the bike with all these selections prior to making an online booking. The buyers are then linked to the nearest dealership for further interaction with regard to completion of payment formalities while the motorcycle is then delivered to the buyer’s doorstep.
Service on Wheels is another initiative introduced by the company in view of social distancing so as to prevent the customer from visiting a service center. This contactless service initiative sees a host of modified motorcycles specially fitted to carry all tools, equipment and spares so as to undertake upto 90 percent of all service and repair requirements at the owner’s homes.
This service is available at all dealerships from July while those desiring can also avail of pick up and drop service facility. While these are some of the initiative introduced by the company immediately following the lockdown, there would be more customer centric offers and services introduced in the days ahead for a better customer experience. KTM is in the process of updating its RC range including RC 125, 200 and 390. RC390 could be the first to be launched in its new-gen avatar. Photos of the 2022 KTM RC 390 have now leaked via official website.
Earlier today, KTM seems to have made the new gen RC390 website LIVE by mistake. It was soon taken down. But not before automotive enthusiast Yadu Krishnan managed to save the same. Thanks to this, we now have detailed photos of the new gen 2022 KTM RC 390.
New KTM RC390 design and styling
Seen in a dual tone livery of Blue and Orange shade, new RC390 could gets a single LED headlamp in place of the existing twin projector headlights at the front. The new unit could be similar to the one currently in use with 390 Duke. Trendy DRLs are also expected to enhance the overall look and feel of the front fascia. The fuel tank looks larger on new RC390, which means lesser stops at fuel stations. The current model can carry max 9.5 litres of fuel.
Another key change can be seen in the riding position of the updated bike. New RC390 appears to have relaxed ergonomics, something similar to what you would expect from a sports-tourer. This is evident in the slightly higher-up handlebars and more forward-set foot pegs. Pillion comfort also seems to have been improved with new RC390. The height of pillion seat is just right and foot pegs are forward set, as compared to that of current model.

The fairing has undergone a major refresh, although it carries on with the core theme of double-layer design. Whether it’s better than the current version is a subjective matter, better left to user interpretations.
2022 KTM RC390 engine and specs
Engine will be same as earlier, a 373cc single cylinder, liquid cooled unit that is capable of generating 43 hp of max power and 35 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The only possibility is that a few tweaks could be introduced to achieve improved reliability. This engine has been in use since around a decade now. KTM has consistently improved it over the years, including changes that were required to meet new emission norms.
Chassis appears to be updated; a bolt-on sub-frame in place of the welded-on design of current model. Suspension system seems to be same as earlier – USD forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear with braced alloy swingarm. However, KTM could introduce tweaks that would make the rides more comfortable.

Wheels and braking setup has also been updated on new RC390. The bike could get some advanced features such as traction control, lean angle-sensitive ABS and bi-directional quickshifter. These features are currently available with 390 Adventure. New RC390 could also get a new Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT instrument console.
It is likely that new KTM RC390 could be launched in the coming weeks, most likely this month. However, considering the unpredictability surrounding Covid pandemic, things could get delayed. CFMoto Electric Scooter Concept
Upon its launch in India, CFMoto’s Zeeho Cyber electric scooter will rival premium e-scooters such as Ather 450X and Bajaj Chetak
Back in December last year, CFMoto had launched its new sub-brand Zeeho exclusively dedicated towards its upcoming electric two-wheelers. At the same, the Chinese bikemaker also unveiled a concept version of its first electric scooter named Cyber which will bear the Zeeho brand.
Zeeho Cyber e-scooter is expected to enter production soon later this year. The production-spec model of the same is also likely to go on sale in India next year. The concept electric scooter has been radically designed by CFMoto’s long-term associate Kiska Design. It is the same firm that has been responsible for creating some unique and breath-taking designs for Austrian manufacturer KTM.
Photo of the production-spec model of the upcoming electric scooter has been leaked. That said, a lot of variations have cropped in the production version from the concept model revealed earlier.
Design
For instance, the single-seater saddle has been replaced with a more practical double-seater saddle. The scooter’s floorboard is no more flat as seen in the concept while the front fender is so huge that it is able to hide the brake calipers and rotors. In line with its concept version, it features a massive front apron that houses a V-shaped lighting setup. This includes an LED headlight and DRLs.

In addition, the manufacturer has also carried forward the winglets on side panels to the production-spec model. At rear, it gets a shortened tail section with edgy taillights and turn indicators.
Another quirky design highlight is the rear wheel which is mounted farther than the tail section. Overall, like most upcoming battery-powered vehicles, Zeeho Cyber electric scooter looks futuristic.
Specs & Features
As for specifications, Cyber e-scooter is equipped with a battery-sourced powertrain with a catchy name called Cobra. This setup features a pouch-style 4kWh lithium-ion battery pack which feeds energy to a 10kW mid-mounted, water-cooled electric motor. It is capable of delivering an output of 13.4 bhp and 213 Nm of peak torque. Performance figures are generous enough with a 0-50 kmph sprint capable in just 2.9 seconds.
Top speed of the electric scooter has been marked at 110 kmph. As per NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) standards, Zeeho Cyber has a range of more than 130 kms. The high-tech battery has been developed alongside Farasis Energy and could be charged 0-80 percent in just 30 minutes using a fast charger. Other features on offer include a digital dashboard with WiFi, navigation software and a digital dashboard with WiFi, voice-control, Bluetooth, GPS connectivity and navigation software. More

Bajaj Auto will be expanding its bestselling Pulsar range to include new products in 250cc category. The list includes a naked sport NS250, a semi-faired 250F and a fully faired RS250. Talking about Pulsar 250F, the motorcycle has been sighted again on road tests. Although it continues wearing heavy camouflage, some interesting details have been revealed.
Bajaj Pulsar 250F design and features
New Pulsar 250F gets an all-LED setup. The LED headlamp unit looks entirely new and is distinct from the vertically positioned projector unit currently in use with Pulsar 220F. The single LED projector unit is flanked by edgy LED DRLs. LED turn indicators have a sleek design and they are placed perpendicular to the headlamp.
Overall, the front fascia has a beefy profile. It seems to be larger in comparison to 220F. Pulsar 250F utilizes a large windscreen, which should provide better protection against the wind. In other changes, the bike has been equipped with a new engine cowl and sportier looking rear-view mirrors. In addition to their functional relevance, these updates will ensure a dominating road presence for Pulsar 250F.
Talking about side profile, the fairing has been updated with larger, redesigned vents. Bajaj appears to have done a better job with this new fairing design, as it is seamlessly integrated with the fuel tank. In 220F, the fairing seems like a separate piece. The bike gets stubby, dual-vent exhaust.
2022 Bajaj Pulsar 250F
Users can expect comfortable rides with Pulsar 250F, as it has taller and outstretched clip-on handlebars. The footpegs are slightly rear-set, which implies that it can support an upright as well as slightly forward leaning stance. The bike has split seats, but its seamless design makes it look like a single piece unit. The seats are of adequate size, which should ensure proper comfort even during longer rides.
At the rear, Pulsar 250F gets new tail lights. Rear fenders have been shortened for a sleeker look and feel. Dual tyre huggers have been added for better protection against dirt and debris.
Bajaj Pulsar 250F engine and specs
Powering Pulsar 250F will be a new 250cc motor. It should be able to churn out 24 bhp of max power. It will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This new engine will be different from the 248.8cc unit that currently does duty on Dominar, KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles. It is possible that Pulsar 250F could be equipped with multiple ride modes.
2022 Bajaj Pulsar 250F
Suspension duties will be performed by standard telescopic forks at the front and a new swingarm-linked monoshock unit at the rear. The bike will have disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS will be offered as standard. Bajaj Pulsar 250F could carry a price tag of around Rs 1.32 lakh – Rs 1.34 lakh (ex-showroom). It is expected to be launched sometime later this year or early next year.

Towards the end of last year, Royal Enfield claimed that it will be launching one model every quarter for the next four years here on. The company has been testing prototypes for upcoming new models round the clock throughout the year. This indicates that the bikemaker has plenty on its plate to cover.
Recently, another updated test mule was caught on camera. This prototype is likely to be a road-biased version of Himalayan. Now, another image of this variant has gone viral which brings its design to light. This prototype of road-focused Himalayan is a clay model and shares a lot in common with the current off-road capable Himalayan.
2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan – Updated Styling & Features
While the overall design is more or less similar, the new model also features noticeable styling variations which makes it distinct. For instance, the upcoming road-biased model misses out on a large windscreen. Also, Himalayan’s signature exoskeleton has made way for newly designed tank shrouds. Further, tank shrouds are seen imprinted with ‘411’ signifying that it will continue to be powered by the same engine.
Like the test mule spotted earlier, this clay model stood on a smaller 19-inch front wheel. The regular Himalayan gets a 21-inch front wheel. Both modes however get similar wire-spoked rims shod by block pattern, dual-purpose tyres. The tail section also seems to be redesigned with the relative positioning of its taillamp and rear turn indicators appearing slightly different from the current bike. It also misses out on its signature luggage rack.
2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan New Variant Clay Model Leaks.
Another interesting piece of difference is that the road-biased model gets revised front and rear mudguards. It also misses out on a traditional beak-like fender as seen in the current Himalayan. A redesigned headlight mask has been added for a cleaner look. It is also being speculated that Royal Enfield will be offering a slightly smaller and simpler instrument console in this road-biased Himalayan which will include Tripper Navigation as well.
Less Components, More Value
Additionally, the tail section also gets a new grab handle and a new single-piece seat. The recently spied test mule did not feature fork gaiters which this clay prototype features. In a similar manner, the clay model did not showcase side pannier boxes which were spotted in the testing prototype previously. This suggests that these components are more likely to be offered as optional add-ons from the official accessories package.
With components such as the windscreen and luggage rack removed, a simpler instrument cluster and a smaller front wheel on offer, this road-biased version of Himalayan could be more affordable than the current model on sale. This would make it accessible to a larger section of consumers.
As mentioned earlier, this new road-biased Himalayan will likely be powered by the same 411cc single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC that returns an output of 24.3 bhp and 32 Nm of peak torque. There might be a little tweak to its suspension setup which would focus more towards on-road dynamics.
