The company has just announced the prices of top-spec variants of BE 6 and XEV 9e Electric Origin SUVs. Along with it, we also saw the bookings and delivery timeline that the company has laid out for Indian SUV buyers. It has to be noted that prices for Pack 2 are still under wraps and only Pack 1 and now Pack 3 prices have unfurled.
BE 6 and XEV 9e Top Variants Pricing
Let’s unpack the prices first, which will dictate the narrative around these products. Dropping the curtains, Mahindra BE 6 Pack 3 is priced at Rs 26.9 lakh (Ex-sh) and XEV 9e Pack 3 at Rs 30.5 lakh (Ex-sh). Pack 3 for both BE 6 and XEV 9e gets all the bells and whistles advertised with these products.
When compared to the Pack 1 price announced at Chennai, Pack 3 of BE 6 costs Rs 8 lakh (Ex-sh) more and it is Rs 8.6 lakh (Ex-sh) more with XEV 9e. Pack 2 sits in between Pack 1 and Pack 3 and the prices for it are yet to be announced with both XEV 9e and BE 6. Company also announced exciting financing plans called “Three For Me”, where EMIs for Pack 3 will be the same for Pack 1. Rs 39,224 for BE 6 and Rs 45,450 for XEV 9e.
Starting today, 7th January 2025, prospective buyers can put BE 6 or XEV (or both) in Add Your Preference section in Mahindra’s app. Bookings will commence on 14th February 2025, which is also Valentine’s Day. Deliveries for Pack 3 (top-spec variant) with a larger 79 kWh battery of BE 6 and XEV 9e will commence in early March 2025.
Bookings and delivery timeline of Pack 1 (base variants) along with pricing, bookings and delivery of Pack 2 (mid variants) of both BE 6 and XEV 9e will be announced in March 2025. Test drives will begin in a phase-wise manner on 14th January in 6 cities, extending to 16 more cities on 24th January and Pan India on 7th February.
Where Do They Fit In?
Priced at Rs 26.9 lakh (Ex-sh) for BE 6 and Rs 30.5 lakh (Ex-sh) for XEV 9e, both these vehicles have comfortably crossed the thin line that differentiates luxury vehicles from mainstream vehicles. However, the company is also backing their pricing strategies with excellent technology, equipment, features and creature comforts.
However, the real question now arises about the choice of fuel. At Rs 30.5 lakh (Ex-sh), the prospect of a luxurious electric vehicle from a mainstream brand is challenged by ICE SUVs with versatility, even from within Mahindra’s portfolio. Buyers who are satisfied with the 500+ km real-world range promise of BE 6 and XEV 9e are likely to jump ships to the brave new world of EVs.

With its 79 kWh battery delivering over 500 km of real-world range, customers can be free from range anxiety. Our vision is to make premium EVs mainstream, and with our “Three for Me” finance program we ensure these vehicles remain accessible, aiming for a total monthly target of 5000 units in Phase 1.”
