New Yamaha Bikes Showcased At Auto Expo 2025
India Yamaha Motorcycles has set up a pavilion in Hall No 6 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This is a special occasion for Yamaha as the brand is celebrating its 40 years of journey in the Asian Subcontinent. Yamaha has had a great run in India with iconic motorcycles like RX100, RD350, FZ-150 and YZF-R15. All these motorcycles are adorning the stage at Yamaha Pavilion.
Apart from showcasing ‘blast from the past’, Yamaha is also displaying some of their notable global offerings. Some or most of these are likely to land in India as they have been teased and showcased time and time again. Except for Lander 250 ADV, which was not officially showcased.
Lander 250 ABS
Speaking of Lander 250, it is quite a capable off-roader and is loaded with off-road-worthy hardware. Long-travel suspension, large wire-spoke wheels, 245mm ground clearance, high-set exhaust and minimal bodywork. It is powered by the same 249cc single-cylinder engine as now now-discontinued FZ-25.
Tenere 700
This is Yamaha’s most anticipated big bike launch in India. Tenere 700 is powered by the same 73 bhp and 67 Nm 689cc engine as R7, but is packaged in a proper ADV motorcycle. High ground clearance, tall stance, rugged underpinnings and other off-road hardware define the looks of Tenere 700.
YZF-R7
Yamaha has been teasing R7 for quite some time and it was showcased to dealers. Launch probability of R7 in India is quite strong. It is powered by a 689cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that generates 73 bhp and 67 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
MT-09 SP
The Triple from Yamaha, MT-09, is known for its 890cc liquid-cooled triple-cylinder Crossplane engine with a characteristic sound. At Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Yamaha is showcasing MT-09 SP, which gets unique colourways, premium suspension, Brembo brakes, additional electronics and a new Smart Key.
Alongside these vehicles, Yamaha also showcased its race-spec YZF-R1M MotoGP motorcycles, demonstrating its association with motorsports. We can see Yamaha’s current crop of 300cc bikes like the R3 and MT-03 and 150cc motorcycles including the R15 and MT-15.
