BMW India is getting ready to launch the updated G 310 R and G 310 GS with BS6 engine
While BS6 mandates were dated for April 1, 2020, owing to Covid-19 pandemic related lockdown, BS6 launch plans for the period were revised. As such, as business operations have flourished, manufacturers have taken the opportunity to introduce BS6 compliant products that had been delayed.
New BMW G 310 R and GS will soon be launched in India. Pre-bookings are now open. Ahead of launch, BMW India today announced attractive EMI offer for those who plan to buy the upcoming 310s. As per this, if you pre-book either of the two bikes, 310R or 310GS ahead of launch, you will be able to get the attractive EMI plan which starts from Rs 4,500.
The EMI plan is curated under calculation for a loan under the BMW Bullet Plan. One can get a loan pre-approved before launch at a BMW Motorrad India dealership or online. Ex-showroom prices of the new motorcycles will be announced at launch. BMW India Financial Services has designed customized and flexible financial solutions. Pre-bookings were announced from the start of September 2020.
BS6 G310
New BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS bikes are now but obviously BS6 compliant. They feature a 313 cc, single-cyl, liquid-cooled engine. Output figures are expected to remain close to what was available previously, i.e., 34 PS/28 Nm. The 6-speed transmission unit is continued.
At the time sales of the BS4 units were stopped, the bikes were available at a price of Rs 2.99 lakh, and Rs 3.49 lakh, respectively. A price revision is expected for the BS6 launch. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the BS6 prices will be lower than the BS4 prices.
BS6 BMW G 310 R Teaser
The bikes haven’t yet been spotted undisguised, teaser images point to noticeable inclusions. BMW is going with the colour orange on alloys and frame. A horizontal rear fender is KTM inspired. Test vehicles pointed to a gold coloured front suspension setup.
With sharper design focus, changes will be seen in a newly designed headlamp unit with integrated LED DRLs, and renewed digital instrument console as well. The exhaust pipe has been worked upon.
For BMW Motorrad, the 310 twins are its smallest displacement bikes. In India, they are the highest volume booster for the brand’s bike unit. The unavailability of BS6 units meant bike sales in recent months has been highly contracted. Once launched, these two bikes will rival the likes of KTM Duke 390 and KTM ADV 390.
