2021 Hyundai Elantra N Line Looks Perfectly Aggressive

  • Hyundai teased the upcoming 2021 Elantra N Line compact sedan, and we like the way that it looks.
  • It hasn’t shared details on the N Line’s powertrain, but we expect it to be a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
  • The Elantra N Line is meant to be an entry point to Hyundai’s N brand and should start around $27,000.

Hyundai has been making quite the statement with its bold new designs, and the 2021 Elantra is one of the many. When we first saw the new compact sedan’s absurdly angular side profile and modern headlights and tail lights, we were instantly hooked. Now, with the sportier N Line model, the 2021 Elantra is getting even more enticing.

Now one of the largest sedans in the compact segment, the new Elantra is 2.2 inches longer, an inch wider, and 0.8 inch longer, so it already has a solid stance. The Elantra N Line’s behemoth grille gets a more angular pattern with N Line badging, and two lower air intakes are added. The mirrors, window accents, and side skirts are all finished in gloss black, and it gets larger 18-inch wheels with bigger brakes. Out back, is a more prominent rear diffuser and a dual-exit exhaust.

Hyundai hasn’t shared many details on the Elantra N Line’s powertrain, but we can expect it to be a more potent turbocharged engine. We expect that to be Hyundai’s turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission and are crossing our fingers for a manual transmission option.

The 2021 Hyundai Elantra N Line is meant to be an entry point to the high-performance N brand, and we should know more about the sporty compact sedan soon. Expect to see it arrive in dealers early next year with a starting price around $27,000.
