Continuing with its planned BS-VI upgrade timeline, TVS Motor has launched the updated version of Apache RR 310 today. It is the most expensive TVS motorcycle on sale today.
It may be recalled that TVS has already launched BS6 variants of its other two wheelers such as Apache RTR 160, RTR 200 and Jupiter. The Apache range has been among the bestselling products in TVS portfolio and it was also featured in the top 10 list of most exported two-wheelers in recent months.
In addition to the BS-VI engine upgrade, 2020 TVS Apache 310 BS6 will also be getting some cosmetic updates and new features. For example, the updated bike will come with a new dual-tone colour theme and refreshed graphics. Another significant change can be seen in the digital console. While the unique vertical layout has been retained, the console will now display a lot more information than earlier.

BS6 Apache RR 310 will retain the shark-inspired design that gives it an aggressive character and a dominating presence on the streets. Other features that are carried forward include aerodynamic design, Bi-LED twin projector headlamps, edgy tail light, trellis frame, race tuned KYB suspension, mass centralized layout for low centre of gravity, and ergonomic seat profile. The BS6 engine on-board Apache RR 310 is a 312.2 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder unit that generates max power of 34 bhp and max torque of 27.3 Nm. Engine is mated to a track tuned 6-speed transmission. It comes with race tuned slipper clutch and liquid cooled technology. In Rain and Urban mode, power output drops to 25.8 hp and 25 Nm. Top speed also declines to 125 kmph. In other two modes, peak power and torque is delivered, while top speed is 160 kmph.
Updated RR 310 will also be getting new tyres. BS6 Apache 310 gets Michelin Road 5 tyres, which replaces the Michelin Pilot Street radial tyres used on the BS4 model. In addition to this, TVS has also added Glide Through Technology+. This allows you to creep forward in traffic situations, without feeding in throttle input. This is a similar function which car makers offer with AMT or AT variants. TVS says that the riding experience too has been improved thoroughly. Below are mode details about the new Apache 310.
