Yamaha Nmax 155 and Grand Filano Debuts In India – Launch this year?

New Yamaha Grand Filano 125ccThe upgraded features on Yamaha Grand Filano and Nmax 155 could potentially make it on Indian Fascino and Aerox 155 respectivelyCurrently, Yamaha has three scooters on sale in India. Two of these scooters come equipped with a 125cc mild hybrid engine. They are Fascino classic scooter and RayZR sporty scooter. Third scooter in Yamaha’s lineup is the Aerox 155. Yamaha’s flagship scooter in India shares its liquid-cooled powertrain with R15 motorcycle. With demand for scooters on the rise, Yamaha may be planning to launch more scooters in India. At the recent Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, Yamaha has showcased two new scooters. These are Grand Filano 125cc and Nmax 155cc. How different are Grand Filano and Nmax 155 from Fascino and Aerox?Yamaha Nmax 155 and Grand Filano Debuts In IndiaYamaha Grand Filano 125 Debuts in IndiaFor starters, both Grand Filano and Fascino follow the same neo-retro design theme that sticks to classic scooter theme and proportions. Both are elegant and classy in their own way. Fascino and Grand Filano are powered by a 125cc engine, generating similar numbers (8.2 PS and 10.3 Nm).Componentry includes RSU telescopic front forks, 12-inch alloy wheel at the front wrapped with 90/90-12 tubeless tyre, rear 10-inch alloy wheel wrapped with a 110/90-10 tyre, a swingarm-mounted rear suspension and others. There is an optional front disc brake and Fascino tips the scale at just 99 kg.2023 Yamaha Grand Filano 125ccWhat’s unique about Grand Filano is that it looks like an upgraded version of Fascino. We say this because of added features and conveniences and a sleeker and upmarket overall design. Design is subjective, but feature lists are usually objective and we can derive one better than the other.New Yamaha Grand Filano 125ccGrand Filano packs an upgraded instrument cluster with a TFT screen, a hazard light, an external fuel filler cap, front storage behind apron, a keyless start with a smart key and other features that Fascino lacks. So, Yamaha might be considering launching Grand Filano in India owing to the rise in demand for 125cc premium scooters.Yamaha Nmax 155 Debuts in IndiaSame can be said about Aerox 155 and Nmax 155 as well. Nmax 155 does pack a slightly more premium design and looks like a proper maxi scooter too. Both Yamaha Nmax 155 and Aerox 155 feature the same 155cc single-cylinder engine shared with the R15 motorcycle.New Yamaha NMAX 155cc ScooterUnlike Grand Filano’s fairly simple 125cc unit, this 155cc unit gets liquid cooling hardware, a DOHC setup, 4V head, Yamaha’s famed VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) and a lot of associated performance. We’re talking about 14.75 bhp of peak power and 13.9 Nm of peak torque.Yamaha showcasing these scooters from its global portfolio in India was likely a hint of launch owing to a rise in sporty and premium scooters. Currently, Aprilia SXR 160 is the only logical rival to Yamaha’s 155cc scooters and Hero is keen on carving a piece of this pie for itself with Xoom 160. More

However, Hyundai is yet to make an official announcement regarding the upcoming dual-cab electric UTE. The ‘T’ apparently refers to ‘truck’, which is a commonly used term for a UTE in the United States. Being the top model in Ioniq range, Hyundai Ioniq T10 will be significantly larger than other Ioniq cars.In Australia, Hyundai currently offers the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6. It is likely to be a smaller UTE that can work as a replacement to the Santa Cruz in the US. Talking about Ioniq T10, it will compete with other upcoming dual-cab electric UTEs in Australia. UTEs are hugely popular in Australia, but this space is currently dominated by ICE models. Some popular options include Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max and Mazda BT-50.In terms of size, Hyundai Ioniq T10 is expected to be larger than most of the popular dual-cab UTEs available for sale in Australia. It will be larger than the Ford Ranger.Kia to launch a diesel dual-cab UTEWhile Hyundai is working on an electric dual-cab UTE, sibling Kia has announced that it is developing a new diesel-powered dual-cab UTE. It could be launched as Tasman, sometime in 2025. Kia’s dual-cab diesel UTE will utilize a different platform in comparison to that of Hyundai Ioniq T10. It will compete with the likes of Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux. At a later stage, Kia Tasman will be equipped with a fully electric powertrain. It will be available in Australia and select emerging markets. In North America, Kia will simply use a rebadged version of the Hyundai Ioniq T10. More

New Bajaj Pulsar Teaser Out – Is It The NS 400 ?

New Bajaj Pulsar Teaser OutPulsar 400 is likely to be positioned below Dominar 400, making it accessible at a lower price pointAs the market matures, the middleweight segment holds great potential for OEMs to power their growth. Renowned global brands like Triumph and Harley have entered this space recently. More action is expected in the coming years. Working on the same lines, Bajaj is readying its biggest Pulsar ever.Bajaj Pulsar 400 Teaser – What to expect? To make it work, Bajaj is aiming for a truly unique profile for the biggest Pulsar. At the time when Bajaj was thinking about its first 400cc bike, there was an option to use the Pulsar brand. However, a decision was eventually made in favour of Dominar 400. In terms of the sales targets set for Dominar 400, the bike has been largely an underperformer.New Bajaj Pulsar Teaser OutHowever, a lot has changed over the past few years. Upcoming Pulsar 400 could allow Bajaj to achieve its goals in middleweight motorcycle segment. Bajaj has confirmed that they will launch biggest Pulsar soon. Ahead of that, they have now shared a new Pulsar teaser on their social media, which could be of their upcoming Pulsar 400.It is expected that the biggest Pulsar will utilize a tweaked version of the perimeter chassis in use with Pulsar NS200. The latter is one of the popular Pulsar bikes, known for its sporty styling and powerful performance. It looks like a relevant model to be utilized for building the biggest Pulsar. Take a look at the new Pulsar 400 teaser below.[embedded content]Chassis used for NS200 has the capability to support engines of higher capacities. For Pulsar NS400, the chassis will be further strengthened. However, overall size and dimensions will be a close match. With NS200 chassis, upcoming Pulsar can achieve a lightweight profile. It is expected to weigh less than Dominar 400 that has a kerb weight of 193 kg. Assuming the Pulsar NS400 to be lighter, it will have a higher power to weight ratio.New Bajaj Pulsar Teaser OutPulsar NS400 will have an athletic build, just like other bikes in NS range. Bajaj will introduce some unique features and touch-ups to ensure a unique profile for the bike. Some of the key highlights will include an aggressive front fascia, USD forks, sporty rear-view mirrors, sculpted fuel tank, split seats, sharp panelling, sporty graphics, underbelly exhaust and rear tyre hugger. The bike will be available in some exciting choice of colourways.Bajaj Pulsar NS400 performanceIn 400cc space, Bajaj has been manufacturing the 373cc engine used with Dominar 400. Bajaj also manufactures the 399cc unit for third-gen KTM 390 Duke and another engine of the same capacity for new Triumph 400. For upcoming Pulsar NS400, Bajaj will borrow the engine from Dominar 400. It generates 40 PS of max power and 35 Nm of peak torque. The power output is the same as that of Speed 400. But KTM 390 Duke has higher numbers to show at 46 PS and 39 Nm.New Bajaj Pulsar Teaser OutUsing Dominar’s engine for the biggest Pulsar makes sense from a cost perspective. Pulsar bikes have a reputation of offering the best value to enthusiasts. This will continue with the biggest Pulsar. Bajaj could launch Pulsar NS400 at an initial offer price of around Rs 2 lakh. At this price point, it could be the cheapest 400cc, 40 hp bike in the country. It will also rival soon to be launched Hero Mavrick 440. More

HMSI has never ventured into premium high-capacity scooter offerings for Indian market and has stuck to commuters.Honda Stylo 160 Base VariantsBut why not? Yamaha is currently selling Aerox 155 sporty scooter in India. Hero MotoCorp is keen on launching its newly developed Xoom 160 ADV-styled maxi scooter in India.
