Yamaha FZ 25 BS6 Racing Blue
Launch will take place in April 2020, which is when the prices of both motorcycles will be revealed.
2020 Yamaha FZ-25 BS6 quarter liter motorcycle has been showcased alongside the launch of RayZR and RaySR 125 FI scooters. A sportier FZS-25 variant has also joined the lineup. The prices of naked street fighters are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
For the 2020 model year, apart from the obvious emission upgrades, the motorcycle features a few styling tweaks. The most noticeable change comes in the form of a new edgier Bi-functional LED headlamp with revised bikini fairing and visor. The motorcycle also features reprofiled fuel tank extensions and side black plastic panels. A belly pan and new color options round off the aesthetic changes.

The new FZS-25 variant differentiates itself from the regular model by means of special color themes (two of sporting golden finish for the alloy wheels), a slightly taller visor and body-colored knuckle guards. Both motorcycles are mechanically identical, just like the smaller FZ and FZS twins.
The 2020 FZ-25 and FZS-25 employ the existing 249 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine whose outputs witness negligible difference in BS6 avatar. The motor produces 0.1 hp less power at 20.8 hp and 0.1 Nm more torque at 20.1 Nm. The transmission continues to be a 5-speed unit.
The noteworthy features include an updated negative LCD instrument cluster, side-stand engine cut-off switch, new LED DRL and dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle continues to be suspended by means of regular telescopic front fork and rear monoshock. To recap, the 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with 100/80-17 front and 140/70-17 rear tubeless tires. The changes had added 1 kg to the kerb weight (153 kg). The fuel-tank capacity stands at 14 liters.
The 2020 Yamaha FZ-25 and FZS-25 will be launched in April 2020. The existing FZ-25 is priced at INR 1.36 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Expect the updated version to be pricier by around INR 10,000. The motorcycle rivals competes with the likes of Suzuki Gixxer 250, KTM Duke 250, etc.
Yamaha just launched significantly revised versions of RayZR and RaySR scooters. Both models ditched their old 113 cc engine in favor of a fuel-injected 125 cc mill which is claimed to offer 16% more fuel efficiency. As a part of its BS6 upgrade, the company will update its entire scooter portfolio to the 125 cc engine.
