Bajaj Auto Limited which reported monthly sales of 2,42,575 units in March 2020, a decline of 38 percent as against 3,93,351 units sold in March 2019 has updated their model lineup to comply with the new and stringent BS6 emission norms. BS6 update has resulted in an increase in prices by Rs.1,749-11,500 depending on model. Apart from the updated engine, Bajaj does not bring with it any change in colours or features in their motorcycles. Most of the models see a dip in peak output following this engine update save for the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 which infact has gained in power.

Bajaj Dominar 400 BS6

The BS6 Dominar 400 has just been launched in India at Rs.1.91 lakhs. This makes it more expensive by about Rs 1k as compared to its BS4 counterpart. The Dominar 400 stays the same in style and dimensions and is offered in two colour options of Vine Black and Aurora Green. Its BS6 compliant 373.3cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected engine offers 39.4 bhp power at 8,800 rpm and 35 Nm torque at 7,000 rpm which are figures identical that that offered by the BS4 compliant engine. The engine also continues to get mated to a 6 speed unit with slipper clutch.
Bajaj CT 100 BS6, CT 110 BS6
Bajaj CT100 and CT110 had a price range from Rs. 33,402-41,837 and Rs.39,994-44,352 respectively when in BS4 formats. The updated engine now sees prices increased by Rs 6,637-7,392 and Rs 6,420 respectively. The BS6 versions of the Bajaj CT100 and CT110 were launched earlier this year and get a few cosmetic updates along with a unique Electronic Injection system. The Bajaj CT100 gets the same 102cc single cylinder, air cooled engine with power and torque figures at 7.7bhp and 8Nm mated to a 4 speed gearbox.
Bajaj Platina BS6
Bajaj Platina H Gear 110 BS6
Bajaj Platina 100 and Platina 110 H-Gear are now BS6 compliant and come in with 13 new changes. It gets an electronic injection system called e-carburetor and as compared to its earlier engine emits 50 percent less carbon monoxide and negligible levels of NoX. These changes have brought with it a price hike by Rs.6,368 and Rs.2,829 respectively with the Platina 100 now priced between Rs 47,264-54,797 and the Platina 110 H-Gear at Rs.59,200.
Bajaj Avenger BS6

Prices of the Bajaj Avenger 160 Street and Avenger 220 Cruise have also been increased quite substantially following the BS6 upgrade. The 160 Street, which was earlier priced at Rs.84,251 has been increased to Rs.94,893, an increase of Rs.11,642. The reason for this steep price hike is that both the motorcycles were carbureted while they have received a Fuel Injection System to make them BS6 compliant and the company has also revised the catalytic converter to comply with the new emission standards.
Bajaj Pulsar 125 BS6

Prices of the Bajaj Pulsar 125 have been increased by Rs 6,381-7,500 to Rs 69,997-74,118. The Pulsar 150 is also BS6 compliant with new pricing atRs.94,957, up by Rs.8,999 as against price of the BS4 compliant model while prices of the Pulsar 150 Neon and Pulsar 150 Twin Disc have also been increased by Rs.10,336 and Rs.8,998 respectively.
Bajaj Pulsar 180F BS6, 220F BS6
Updated to BS6 norms is also the Bajaj Pulsar 180F and 220F with prices increased by Rs.11,437 and Rs.8,960 respectively to Rs.1.07 lakhs and Rs.1.17 lakhs. Bajaj Pulsar 180F gets a 178.6 cc engine with electronic fuel injection as against carburetor seen in the BS4 model. Power and torque figures remain unchanged at 16.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 14.52 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The Bajaj 220 sees no change in design but its 220cc single cylinder, oil cooled engine is now BS6 compliant and drops its power figures by 0.5 bhp to 20.1 bhp while torque stays the same at 18.5 Nm.
Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 BS6, NS 200 BS6
Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 and NS 200 also see price hike by Rs.9,203 and Rs.10,675 respectively to Rs 1.03 lakhs and Rs 1.25 lakhs. The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 remains the most powerful motorcycle in its segment. Its engine now makes 17 bhp power at 9,000 rpm as against 15.2 bhp at 8,500 rpm offered on its BS4 model. Torque figures remain the same at 14.6 Nm at 7,250 rpm. The BS6 version of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 now offers more power and torque as compared to the BS4 variant to stand at 24.5PS and 18.5Nm as compared to the previous 23.5PS and 18.3Nm.
No price details of the Bajaj Platina, Discover range, V15 and Avenger 220 Street have yet been uploaded onto the company website.
