Ampere Electric has initiated a book now, pay later scheme with the Zeal Electric Scooter at a down payment of Rs.999

Ampere Electric Vehicle, the electric mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton, initiates a ‘Kal Ko Bachao’ scheme under the pillars of – better health, higher saving & better environment, all to create a stronger future. The company states that this scheme is especially extended to all customers and coronavirus fighters who are in the business of delivering essential items.

Those who are interested, can book now via online booking services at a down payment of Rs.999 and make full payments and take deliveries after the lockdown period ends. This online booking facility is currently available in major cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and New Delhi. The company will also follow a strict policy of contactless deliver and vehicle sanitization.

The company asserts that every Ampere e-scooter sold in equal to planting 12 trees and hence over a period of time, this will lead to preserving the environment while there will also be a massive saving on petrol. Analysis reveals that electric vehicles reduce running costs by as much as 85-90 percent when compared to a similar petrol or diesel vehicle.

The Ampere Zeal is powered by a 1.2 kW DC motor along with a 1.8 kWh battery pack. A full charge is possible in around 6 hours which can take the Zeal over a distance of around 75 kms. The scooter is presented in two riding modes of Economy and Speed, weighs a total of 75 kgs and can reach upto 50 kmph in 6 seconds with a top speed of 55 kmph.
