Top 10 Two Wheeler sales Jan 2020 – Honda Activa Beats Hero Splendor

After losing to Hero Splendor for the last couple of months, Honda Activa is back on the top once again as the No 1 two wheeler sold in India for Jan 2020.

The new year, though still slow has gotten off to a start that hasn’t been altogether treacherous for two wheeler manufacturers. The top 10 two wheelers’ cumulative sales accounted for 10,15,157 units in January 2020. This is 5.17 percent lower than 10,70,550 units sold a year earlier. Though lower, it’s not the worst decline the industry has reported in the ongoing FY. The top runners collectively lost 55,393 units in volume.

Honda Activa leads at 2,34,749 units. Even better is the fact that sales grew by 21,447 units. Sales growth is reported at 10.05 percent, up from 2,13,302 units. The improvement has afforded it numero one position from it’s second spot standing for the comparable month.

Hero Splendor settles for second spot. However, it hasn’t really lost much in terms of volume. It just hasn’t done any better. Sales fell 1,331 units, down ,59 percent at 2,22,578 units from 2,23,909 units. Hero takes third spot too. Hero HF Deluxe sales fell marginally at 1.96 percent at volume loss of 3,831 units. Sales fell to 1,91,875 units from 1,95,706 units.
