Honda Offering New Parts for S2000, Including 20th-Anniversary Prototype Parts

  • Honda is planning to sell parts for the S2000, covering model years 1999 through 2009, as well as parts for the S2000 20th-anniversary prototype.
  • The catalog will be out in June, but before that Honda will take requests through social media with the hashtag #S2000PartsCatalog.
  • Customers have from now until April 30 to tell Honda what specific parts they’d want to buy.

Toyota recently started to produce and sell parts for Supra models from the A70 (third generation) and A80 (fourth generation), covering model years 1986 through 2003, as part of its GR Heritage Parts Project. The reason? To keep these legendary cars on the road. Honda is now going to do the same for its high-revving S2000, covering model years 1999 through 2009. It’ll also offer parts from the 20th anniversary prototype from the Tokyo auto salon this year.

The S2000 parts catalog is coming in June, but before that, S2000 owners can tell Honda which parts you want to purchase. It’s simple: Post which parts you need with the hashtag #S2000PartsCatalog on either Facebook or Twitter so Honda knows what people are likely to buy. There’s a narrow window for requests, though. Honda says that customers have from now until April 30 to make their wishes known.

Available parts for the 20th-anniversary car include the Modulo X front bumper, a sport suspension system, ducktail spoiler, aero tabs, carpet floor mats, a cover for the audio system, footwell lighting, and a half body cover, as shown in the gallery below.

Prices are converted from Japanese yen and include taxes. We can’t wait to see which parts Honda decides to produce and sell to S2000 owners, and we fully support the cause to keep these 9000-rpm screamers on the road. #SaveTheManuals
