2021 Toyota Supra Gets $8K Price Cut Thanks to New Four-Cylinder Model

  • The new 2021 Toyota Supra 2.0, which has a four-cylinder engine, starts at $43,945.
  • Other 2021 models go up between $500–$1000 compared to last year.
  • The 2021 Supra should begin arriving at U.S. dealerships this fall.

The new-for-2021 four-cylinder Supra 2.0 model starts at $43,945, lowering the sports car’s base price by $8000 compared to the six-cylinder-only 2020 model. Inline-six-powered 2021 Supra 3.0 models, which receive a slight power bump, go up between $500–$1000 in price depending on trim level.

The Supra 2.0 is available in a single trim level that’s less well-equipped than the 3.0 models. It makes do with manually adjustable seats, 18-inch wheels, and a four-speaker audio system (a 12-speaker JBL system is available as an option as part of a $3485 Safety & Technology package). Nitro Yellow paint is also a $425 option. Its turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four makes 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque through an eight-speed automatic. Toyota says it anticipates the four-cylinder model will make up around 20 percent of Supra sales in the U.S. overall.

The Supra 3.0 remains available in three trim levels. The base 3.0 starts at $51,945, an $1000 increase; the 3.0 Premium starts at $55,445, a $500 increase; and last year’s Launch Edition is replaced by a new A91 special-edition model for 2021 that starts at $56,945, a $740 increase. All Supra 3.0s get an upgraded turbo 3.0-liter inline-six with 382 horsepower, a bump of 47 hp. An eight-speed automatic transmission remains the only choice for all 2021 Supras.

Toyota says that production of the 2021 Supra has been delayed to the beginning of August, meaning these models should begin arriving at U.S. dealerships later in the fall
