- Porsche announced that it’ll offer both Lightweight and Sport packages for the 2021 911 Turbo S.
- The Lightweight package includes existing lightweight options as well as deletion of the rear seats, while the Sport package offers a more sporty appearance for the Turbo S.
- The packages will be available soon, but pricing has not yet been announced.
The 992-generation 911 Turbo S is the most powerful Turbo S yet, and Porsche claims it’ll do zero to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds thanks to its 640-hp twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six. If a standard 911 Turbo S isn’t bonkers enough for you, Porsche will now offer both a Lightweight and a Sport package to make your Turbo S even more hard core.
The Lightweight package shaves off 66 pounds and includes Porsche’s lightweight noise-insulated glass, a $1250 option that reduces the weight by 8 pounds; the PASM sport suspension, a $1510 option; and the sport exhaust system with black tailpipes, a $3490 option when sold individually—all of which are stand-alone options for the new Turbo S. In addition to the existing optional equipment, the package includes lightweight full bucket seats, reduced sound deadening, and deletion of the rear seats.
The Sport package is based on the sport design package and includes specially designed taillights, high-gloss accents, and dark silver Turbo S wheels. Coupe models come with a carbon-fiber roof, a $3890 option when sold individually.
Both of these packages are not yet available for order but will be at a later date, according to Porsche. Pricing for both packages has also not yet been announced.
