Ampere Electric scooter Rs 5k benefits – 12th Anniversary celebration

Ampere Electric Vehicles, the electric mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton, celebrates 12 years in the country. As a part of these celebrations, the company is offering special benefits to its customers on Ampere e-scooters along with other benefits.

Customers can avail of a grand bonanza upto Rs.50,000 along with extended warranty of 5 years on high speed models and upto 3 years on all other variants at affordable prices. Customers can also receive 1+5 years bumper to bumper insurance cover on Ampere e-scooters.

This scheme follows the ‘Kal Ko Bachao’ scheme introduced earlier this month. It offered special benefits to our frontline workers such as nurses, doctors, government officials and also to working professionals, students and entrepreneurs who are helping the country at this time of the coronavirus pandemic. It allows them to opt for more eco friendly, low maintenance means of transport where last mile connectivity is concerned.

The Kal Ko Bachao scheme enables buyers to book their Ampere e-scooters online at a down payment of Rs.999. The full payment and delivery will be effected post the lockdown period. This scheme is exclusively for buyers in cities of Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and New Delhi while contactless delivery and complete sanitization of vehicle is assured.

Users of personal transportation is the need of the hour. Persons are shunning public transport and avoiding crowded areas to stay safe of the COVID-19 pandemic. The e-scooter helps to improve air quality and reduce respiratory complications while it also prevents the owner from queuing at petrol pumps at a time when the Government of India is insisting on social distancing.

Ampere Electric currently sells models like Zeal, Reo Elite, V-48 LA, Magnus 60, Reo LA and REO Li. The Ampere Zeal e-scooter is priced at Rs.66,950. It is powered by a 1.2 kW DC motor that works along with a 1.8 kWh battery pack. The scooter gets two riding modes of Economy and Speed and charging is complete in 6 hours to allow for travel over a distance of 75 kms. Acceleration from 0 to 50 kmph is achieved in 6 seconds while top speed is at 55 kmph.

Last week the company also initiated a program to help small traders and micro entrepreneurs to avail of an Ampere e-scooter via an agreement with multiple financial institutions for what it terms as Supporting Traders to Activate and Reignite Trade (START). Through START, these business men, particularly from small cities and rural areas in the country could accelerate their home delivery based initiatives and at the same time boost electric mobility.
