Nissan's Leaf Nismo concept says boring EVs be damned – Roadshow

Nissan says the updated exterior isn’t just for looks. Nismo got its hands on the design and gave the EV enhanced aerodynamics performance and less lift. 

If there’s anything to know about cars, it’s that red trim means fast. 

The Leaf Nismo Concept also packs a sport-tuned suspension and high-performance tires.

Nissan says the Nismo aero kit reduces lift without hurting the Leaf’s drag coefficient.

Could a sportier Nismo Leaf amp up sales of Nissan’s electric car?

Unique six-spoke alloys in a dark finish give the Leaf Nismo a more planted stance.

Inside is largely standard-fare Leaf, though there are some red accents and such.

Nismo concept version or no, Nissan has banished the old Leaf’s “deflated frog” face for good.
