      Honda Motorcycle India has launched special edition of their CB350 at IBW 2021. This launch celebrates the first anniversary of CB350 in India. 2021 Honda CB350 Anniversary Edition has been launched at a price of Rs 2.03 lakh, ex-sh, Gurgaon.

      Honda CB350 was launched in October last year, followed by the scrambler version CB350 RS in February 2021. Honda 350cc motorcycles recently achieved the 30k yearly sales milestone.
      Growing popularity of CB350 has prompted Honda to target this segment more aggressively. Over the next three years, the company has plans to increase sales of its 250-500cc bikes to 3 lakh units per annum. To make it possible, Honda will be introducing multiple new motorcycles in middleweight segment.
      Honda CB350 Anniversary edition gets golden themed emblems incorporated on the tank & side panel. The Anniversary Edition logo sits atop the tank in a pin-striped fashion further substantiating the rider’s pride of ownership. Accentuating the overall theme is its Brown Coloured Dual Seat for added comfort to both rider and pillion while its Chrome side-stand enhances premium appeal of the motorcycle.

      Body coloured Front & Rear Mudguards help the product theme to maintain one flow in terms of design uniformity. The reimagined Crown Handle synchronized elegantly with different color options maintains the motorcycle’s rugged image. It is be available in two colour options – Pearl Igneous Black and Matt Marshal Green Metallic.
      2021 Honda CB300R BS6 Showcased
      In line with its strategy to aggressively target the middleweight segment, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) will soon be launching the BS6 version of CB300R. The bike was available in India earlier, but it was discontinued when BS6 norms came into effect from April 1, 2020. In its BS4 format, Honda CB300R was imported as CKD. Only a limited number of units were available for sale. The last known price of the bike was Rs 2.41 lakh.
      Updated BS6 CB300R could be assembled locally to keep costs down. It is to note that Euro 5 version of the bike is not available in international markets. India could be the first country to get the greener CB300R. The bike was quite popular when it was available in India. In just a few months post its launch in 2019, all available units of CB300R were sold out.

      BS6 CB300R details
      Honda has kept the details of BS6 CB300R tightly under wraps. The bike has neo-retro styling with features such as round headlamp, flat handlebar, sculpted fuel tank, sporty split seat, exposed trellis frame, short tail section and chunky upswept exhaust.
      In its BS4 format, Honda CB300R was powered by a 286cc, single cylinder, 4-valve, liquid cooled motor. It generated 30.45 hp of max power and 27.4 Nm of peak torque. It was mated to a 6-speed gearbox. New CB300R could have slightly lesser power and torque, as has been the case with most other bikes that have received BS6 update.
      CB300R has USD forks at front and monoshock rear suspension. Braking duties are performed by disc brakes at both ends. Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard. It is possible that BS6 CB300R could get a new range of connectivity features. Honda is simultaneously focusing on expanding its Big Wing network across the country.  This will also be a key factor in helping achieve desired sales targets. More

      WardWizard sold 3,290 electric scooters and motorcycles in November 2021 – A 12 fold increase over 255 units sold in November 2020
      Vadodara based WardWizard markets its electric two wheelers under ‘Joy e-bike’ brand. Last month, they recorded the highest ever monthly sales till date. The company sold a total of 3,290 units in Nov 2021, approximately a 12 fold jump over 255 units sold in November 2020, a percentage hike of 1,190 percent.
      Growth was seen both in urban and semi urban sectors. Taking Year-to-Date sales into account, they have sold 13,516 units during the April-November 2021 period, a 590 percent increase over 1,957 units sold in the same 7 month period of 2020.
      Joy Electric Scooters, Motorcycles
      Every electric two wheeler from the company comes in with JOY E-Connect. This is a cloud-based mobile app that goes a long way in enhancing its overall riding experience. Compatible with the entire Joy e-bike product range, the App can be downloaded on iOS and Android.
      Joy e-bike lineup currently includes five high-speed vehicles and five in the low-speed category. Their electric two wheelers are all priced aggressively and are sold via authorized sales outlets across 23 major cities in the country. WardWizard plans to add 250 dealerships by the end of 2022.

      Nov 2021 also saw WardWizard inaugurate a new global headquarters in Vadodara. Joy e-bike also launched a new brand campaign in collaboration with ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Through this show, the company will get a chance to showcase their range of electric two-wheelers to a wider audience.

      WardWizard has an installed capacity of 4 lakh units at its plant in Vadodara, Gujarat. Investments to the tune of Rs 200 crores have been made till date. Plans are afoot to mark foray into more segments in the future. They could enter the electric rickshaw or the electric car segment.
      Joy e-bike targets to sell 45,000-50,000 electric scooters and motorcycles in the current fiscal. The company expects a higher percentage of sales from non-metro regions across India.
      In terms of added investment, WardWizard will be looking at investing an added Rs 175 crores over the next 6 months. They also have plans to set up new assembly facilities in West Bengal and Kerala to cater to the demands of buyers in the North East and Southern states respectively. Both these new facilities are expected to be operational by the first quarter of next financial year. More

      BSA Gold Star 650 Specs Officially Revealed – 652cc, 45 bhp, 55 Nm, 198 Kgs

      We already have been acquainted with the fact that Classic Legends is working on reviving multiple motorcycle brands including Yezdi and BSA. The company already relaunched the Jawa brand in 2018 which has been met with reasonable success. It had earlier been reported that Classic Legends is working on bringing back the BSA brand with a new 650cc motorcycle.
      Officially named Gold Star 650, this bike made its first appearance at an exclusive event in Birmingham UK.  For reference, Classic Legends bought the rights of the incumbent BSA Motorcycles back in 2016 for approximately Rs 28 crores. The bike, as evident in previous spy shots, sports a retro-style design of a modern classic motorcycle.
      BSA Gold Star 650 – Retro Styling
      At first glance, certain elements, especially the rear section barring the taillight, look uncannily familiar with its 300cc Jawa counterparts. Some of the highlights of the 650cc roadster include beefy side panels, single-piece handlebar, single-piece bench seat, round headlamp, circular turn indicators and fork gaiters.
      Gold Star flaunts an extensive use of chrome across its body, from headlamp to fuel tank extending to its exhaust pipe and engine casing. The teardrop-shaped fuel tank as well as broad front and rear fenders accentuate the bike’s retro appeal. A lot of these elements appear to be inspired by the classic Bonneville Twins.
      BSA Gold Star 650 Specs – Part 1
      The instrument cluster consists of twin-pod analogue dials which frankly looks better on this class of motorcycles. Riding ergonomics also seem relaxed with a wide handlebar and mid-set footpegs. The single exhaust pipe suggests that the bike might be powered by a single-cylinder heart underneath. The engine, in fact, is the biggest highlight of the bike.

      New BSA Gold Star 650 is powered by a single cylinder 652cc engine which delivers 55 Nm torque and 45 Bhp power. It is mated to a 5 speed gearbox. On a closer look at the engine, the casing design is somewhat reminiscent of the Rotax unit powering the BMW F 650 Funduro adventure bike. The 650cc single-cylinder DOHC unit features cooling fins but on a closer inspection, one could notice a black hose emerging from the powertrain which leads to a fairly large radiator.
      A fuel injector cover is also visible which gives it an old-school appeal. While it aims to look like an air-cooled unit, the piping for liquid cooling near the frame downtube indicates that it will be a liquid-cooled motor. This will help the bike extract more oomph out of the engine despite being only a single-cylinder unit.

      Dynamics
      As for hardware, the bike gets raked-out telescopic forks at front and twin preload-adjustable rear shock absorbers to carry out the suspension duties. Braking setup comprises disc brakes at both ends which will be assisted by a dual-channel ABS. The traditional wire-spokes wheels are shod with old-school Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tubed tyres similar to the ones found in Royal Enfield 650cc Twins.
      While the motorcycle is being developed in India, since Classic Legends has its R&D set up here, the BSA-branded model will initially cater to consumers in United Kingdom. Assembly of the upcoming bike is expected to take place in BSA’s facility in Midlands. That said, Gold Star could well be launched in India at a later stage. More

      120 years is a long time. Royal Enfield has packaged this journey as 120th year Interceptor and Continental 650 GT anniversary edition motorcycles. The first step was taken in November of 1901, when the first RE bike was launched in London.
      To celebrate this, Royal Enfield has launched special edition Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. These limited edition motorcycles come with rich black-chrome colour offerings with handcrafted brass tank representative badges.
      Royal Enfield 650 Twins Anniversary Edition Prices
      In all 480 units will be available worldwide. 60 units each of Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 will be available in India, South-East Asia, Americas and Europe markets, respectively. Which equates to 120 units in the 4 aforementioned business regions.
      In India, these will go on sale on the 6th Dec 2021, that is day after tomorrow. It will be only sold via online mode. 60 units of each INT650 and 60 units of GT650 are available. Registrations have been open since a few days. All 120 units are expected to go get sold off in a few seconds.
      Royal Enfield 650 Twins Limited Edition
      As per the Royal Enfield official configurator, price of the fully loaded Interceptor 650 Anniversary edition is Rs 4.5 lakh. Price of the RE Continental GT 650 Anniversary edition is Rs 4.8 lakh. All prices are on-road, Chennai. The prices include genuine RE blacked-out kit, which is priced at Rs 18.5k for INT 650 and Rs 19.5k for the GT650. These anniversary editions also come with extended warranty of 2 years (worth Rs 4.7k), in addition to the standard 3 year warranty.
      Black chrome tech
      Chroming was carried out by an alternate, sustainable trivalent eco- friendly process. Black chrome tanks are complemented with blacked out components, engine, silencer and other elements in black. Genuine Motorcycle Accessories include black flyscreens, engine guards, heel guards, touring and bar end mirrors amongst others.
      The die-cast brass tank badge is crafted in collab with multi generational ‘Sirpi Senthil’ artisans family from Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, India. The collab is a first of its kind.       The Pulsar range of motorcycles is in a transition phase with Bajaj planning to bring a series of new generation models. It has started with two new Pulsar 250 models- N250 and F250 which will be followed by new Pulsar models with lower displacements.
      It appears as if the twin siblings have witnessed a decent start in the first month since Bajaj clocked a monthly volume of 3,38,473 units in November which comprises both domestic sales as well as exports. The Chakan-based bikemaker is leaving no stone unturned in promoting the new offerings among the masses.

      Though the Pulsar 250 has been launched, but it is yet to reach at all dealerships across India. The motorcycles are arriving at different cities across India in phases. First unit of the motorcycle was delivered in Pune, which is where the motorcycle is manufactured.
      Speaking about the free Bajaj Pulsar offered – Recently, an Instagram user jokingly requested Bajaj on social media to gift him a new Pulsar F250. The company decided to grant his wish. But with a condition – if the comment posted receives at least 250,000 likes.

      Pulsar 250- Hardware Specs
      The new Pulsar 250 is underpinned by a brand new tubular chassis which doesn’t share any of its elements with the current Pulsar models. The chassis is suspended on 37mm conventional telescopic forks upfront and a mono-shock with Nitrox at rear. Braking duties are handled by a 300mm disc at front and a 230mm rotor at rear which are aided by a single-channel ABS.
      The motorcycles ride on 17-inch alloy wheels which are wrapped around by 100/80 section and 130/70 section tyres a front and rear respectively. While the naked iteration weighs 162kg, the semi-faired version tips the weighing scales at 164kg. Both bikes share a similar set of features such as full-LED lighting, a USB charger and a semi-digital instrument console.
      Engine Specs & Design
      Powering the new Pulsar 250 siblings is a 249.07cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that delivers an output of 24.1 bhp at 8,750rpm and 21.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The motor is paired with a five-speed gearbox that benefits from an assist and slipper clutch function.
      N250 and F250 differ in their styling. While the former is a naked streetfighter, the latter semi-faired sports commuter. F250 gets a front-heavy faired body with a large windscreen upfront and a slightly raised up clip-on handlebar. On the other hand, N250 gets a bikini fairing at front with a slightly low-set single-piece handlebar. /Apart from these minute variations both motorcycles flaunt a similar design.
      Commission styling elements comprise a muscular 14-litre fuel tank, a redesigned split-style taillight, a split-style step-up seat, and a side-slung twin-barrel exhaust. While Pulsar N250 is priced at Rs 1.38 lakh, Pulsar 250 is offered at a price of Rs 1.40 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). More

      Benelli has had an eventful 2021 in India. In Jan 2021, Benelli India launched TRK 502 ADV motorcycle at Rs 4.8 lakh, ex-sh. This was followed by the launch of Leoncino 500 in Feb 2021. Then came the TRK 502X in March 2021. July 2021 saw the launch of Benelli 502c. Since then, there has been no new launches from Benelli India.
      Apart from the above mentioned motorcycles, Benelli also offers the Imperiale 400 – which is also their most affordable and highest selling motorcycle in the country. Benelli is getting ready to launch a new entry level motorcycle, and probably an even more affordable motorcycle in India, than the Imperiale 400.

      Just at the start of the year 2021, ahead of the launch of their first motorcycle, Benelli had announced their plans to launch 7 new motorcycles in the range of 250cc to 600cc. Of these 7, Benelli has already launched 4 of them in 2021. They will soon ben launching their 5th motorcycle under this plan.

      Benelli TRK 251 Adventure Specs
      Demand for entry level adventure motorcycles in India is on the rise. Benelli TRK 251 Adventure 250cc Motorcycle borrows inspiration from the TRK 502. It is built on a steel tube trellis frame. Benelli TRK 251 boasts of 17” multi spoke alloys fitted with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyres. It gets 41mm upside down forks in the front and 51mm monoshock at the rear.
      Braking duties are via 280mm single floating disc and 4 piston caliper along with 240mm disc and single piston caliper. It sports LED headlamps, distinctive front mudguard and a tall windshield offering good protection to rider over long distances even at higher speeds.
      Benelli TRK 251 Teased – India Launch Soon
      Wide handlebars offer better control while the fully digital instrument cluster which enhances its appeal. A split pillion rider seat, long grab handles and compact LED tail lamp are also a part of the features on this off roader.
      Benelli TRK 251 is powered by a 250cc, liquid cooled, four stroke motor that offers 26 PS peak power at 9,250 rpm and 21 Nm peak torque at 8,000 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox. Launch is expected to take place in Jan 2022. Benelli could launch the TRK 250cc adventure at an aggressive price tag, in the range of Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh, ex-sh.       Back in Oct this year, the all new Triumph Tiger 660 Sport made its global debut in the UK. It is the new entry-level Tiger in the company line-up, their most affordable Tiger yet. Tiger Sport 660 is based on the same frame as the brand’s latest naked streetfighter- Trident 660.
      With India being one of the key markets for the company, the launch of new ADV motorcycle is going to take place soon. Ahead of that, Triumph India has started accepting bookings for the Tiger Sport 660. Pre-bookings amount for Triumph Tiger 660 Sport is kept at Rs 50,000.
      Triumph Tiger Sport 660 – Brand New Attire
      Triumph Trident, the new entry-level middleweight naked bike was launched in India earlier this year and is priced at a range of Rs 6.95 lakh to Rs 7.08 lakh (ex-showroom). Coming back to Tiger Sport 660, the bike is a road-biased tourer whereas a full-fledged hardcore Adventure version of the same is also expected to make its debut at a later stage.
      The images reveal that Tiger Sport 660 gets a very sharp front fascia which is distinct from the larger and more powerful Tiger-branded ADVs. It also features signature styling elements such as a half-faired design with a tall windscreen underlining the design of a contemporary ADV tourer.

      Upfront, Tiger Sport gets a twin LED headlamp setup with LED DRLs and LED turn indicators. At first glance, design of Tiger Sport 660 reminds us of Japanese adventure bikes but it also borrows certain cues from Tiger Sport 850.
      Updated Ergonomics, Hardware
      In comparison to Trident, Tiger Sport 660 will have a more upright and comfortable riding position with taller handlebars, longer seat and neutral set footpegs. This would make it an ideal choice for long-distance touring. As mentioned earlier, it gets the same underpinnings as Trident 660 featuring the same frame, however, suspension offers slightly more travel to do justice to its ADV characteristic.
      That said other hardware configurations such as braking setup, wheels and adjustable levers are identical to Trident. Speaking of hardware, suspension is sourced from Showa which will comprise 41mm inverted forks up front and mono-shock at rear. Braking is via twin discs in the front and single disc at the rear.
      Powertrain Specs
      Tiger Sport is powered by the same 660cc liquid-cooled inline triple motor which also propels Trident 660. This engine dishes out 80 bhp at 10,250rpm and peak torque of 64 Nm at 6,250rpm. It will be paired with a six-speed gearbox. It is heavier than its naked streetfighter counterpart thanks to the rear subframe and additional fairing.
