Triumph Scrambler 400 XC Tubeless Wheels Priced At Rs 72k – Details

Triumph Scrambler 400 XCSince cross-spoke wheels are imported and subject to import duties, they cost significantly more than standard wire-spoke or alloy wheels
Earlier this year in May, Triumph had launched the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC at a starting price of Rs 2.94 lakh. The XC is essentially a more capable off-roader, as compared to the Scrambler 400 X. One of the key highlights of XC is its cross-spoke tubeless wheels. Triumph has now announced the price of these cross-spoke wheels, primarily targeted at Scrambler 400 X users who want to upgrade. Let’s check out the details.
Scrambler 400 XC Tubeless Wheels – Pricing
In the case of the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC, the cross-spoke wheels are a standard feature. There’s no change in the pricing of the XC model. However, Triumph has announced the individual pricing for the cross-spoke wheels. This could benefit users who currently own the Scrambler 400 X. XC’s cross-spoke wheels can be retrofitted onto the Scrambler 400 X.
    Triumph Scrambler 400 XC Launch
Triumph Scrambler 400 X users who want a better off-roading experience can benefit from the cross-spoke wheels. Wire-spoke wheels not only improve off-road performance but also add to a bike’s classic aesthetic. In its stock form, the Scrambler 400 X is offered with cast aluminium alloy wheels, 19-inch at front and 17-inch at the rear.
However, upgrading the Scrambler 400 X with cross-spoke wheels can be quite costly. Triumph has put a price tag of Rs 71,751 for the cross-spoke wheels. The front cross-spoke wheel is priced at Rs 34,876, whereas the rear unit costs Rs 36,875. In percentage terms, the cost of these cross-spoke wheels is around 26% of the cost of Triumph Scrambler 400 X. While cross-spoke wheels have their advantages, the high upgrade cost can limit its scope.
    Triumph Scrambler 400 XC
    Warranty not applicable
As of now, there is no homologation process for tubeless spoke wheels in India. These cross-spoke wheels are imported, since there is currently no local branded manufacturer. For Scrambler 400 XC and other bikes like Tiger 900 Rally Pro and Scrambler 1200 X, Triumph sources the cross-spoke wheels from the same manufacturer.
Since there is no homologation process for cross-spoke wheels in India, installing these on a standalone basis will void the warranty. This will be applicable even if the installation is done at an authorized Triumph service centre. Triumph Scrambler 400 XC is the fourth in the list of made-in-India bikes that have tubeless spoke wheels.
    Triumph Scrambler 400 XC
The other three are Goan Classic 350, Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure. Royal Enfield recently increased the prices for its cross-spoke wheels, as offered with the Himalayan. Existing Himalayan 450 users who want to upgrade to the cross-spoke wheels will have to pay Rs 40,645 for a pair. This is an increase of Rs 28,221, as compared to Rs 12,424 earlier.
As demand increases for tubeless wire-spoke wheels, it is possible that the relevant testing protocols and certification methods may be introduced. Or this process could already be underway at institutions such as ARAI. Local manufacturing could also become a possibility, provided there is sustained demand. More

    2025 KTM 390 Adventure X Launch Price Rs 3.03 L – More Features

2025 KTM 390 Adventure X LaunchBy adopting a more practical approach tailored to the Indian market, KTM aims to achieve higher sales volumes
As part of its ongoing portfolio refresh, KTM has launched the 2025 390 Adventure X. Prices start at Rs 3.03 lakh (Ex-sh), which is Rs 12,000 more than the current model. 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X gets a fresh set of electronic rider aids, comparable to that of the standard 390 Adventure. Let’s check out the details.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure X – What’s new?
Current KTM 390 Adventure X comes with limited options for rider aids. It offered off-road mode with off-road ABS. In comparison, the new 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X gets a more comprehensive rider aids package. It includes a cruise control system, cornering ABS, cornering traction control and ride modes of Street, Rain and Offroad.
Rider aids suite of 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X is now largely the same as offered with the standard 390 Adventure. 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X has also borrowed the updated switchgear from the 390 Adventure. The cruise control function can be activated and deactivated with just a single button press.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure X Launch
There’s a dedicated toggle switch too, which allows the rider to decrease or increase the cruise control speed. Users can expect a seamless experience, as the cruise control system disengages automatically when the brake is applied. It re-engages again when the rider turns the throttle.
    Other specs, features remain unchanged
Core hardware specs for 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X are the same as earlier. The bike utilizes a 399cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine, the same as the standard 390 Adventure. It generates 45 PS and 39 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
While the suspension setup is also common between the Adventure X and the standard model, the former does not have an adjustability function. These bikes have 43 mm WP Apex USD forks at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear. The standard 390 Adventure has compression and rebound adjustable front forks and both preload and rebound adjustable rear monoshock.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure X Launch
390 Adventure X has only the preload adjustable option for the monoshock suspension. The bike has 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. Braking setup comprises 320 mm and 240 mm disc brakes at the front and rear, respectively.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure X pricing
As compared to the current model that was priced at Rs 2.91 lakh, the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure starts at Rs 3.03 lakh. The Rs 12,000 price hike seems like a bargain, considering the addition of premium rider aids. Even with the increase in its price, the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X is still a good Rs 65,000 cheaper than the standard 390 Adventure. The latter is available at a starting price of Rs 3.68 lakh (all prices Ex-sh).
KTM 390 Adventure X primarily rivals the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Rider aids available with Himalayan 450 include switchable ABS, ride-by-wire with ride modes and a slip and assist clutch. Himalayan 450 is an off-road focused machine, available at a starting price of Rs 2.85 lakh (Ex-sh). More

Hero Vida VX2 Price Slashed By Rs 15k – Now Starts Rs 44,990

Hero Vida VX2 Price SlashedIndia’s largest 2W manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, is upping its game in the electric scooter segment by being among the first OEMs to introduce BaaS pricing in this segment. With BaaS plans, Vida VX2 started from Rs 59,490 (Ex-sh), which was already quite impressive. Now, Hero has straight up slashed Rs 15k off of the price tag. Let’s take a closer look.
    Hero Vida VX2 Price Slashed
With the launch of Vida VX2, Hero MotoCorp is showing the country that it means business. This is the first time a 2W OEM in India has introduced BaaS prices (Battery as a Service), in its truest sense, which helps in cutting down on initial buying costs for customers, unlike its rival brand that only offers battery subscription through its swapping stations.
Starting price of Vida VX2 was pegged at Rs 59,490 (Ex-sh) + Rs 0.96 per km, which was already an impressive proposition. Now, the BaaS prices have been revised with an introductory offer announced by the company, taking the starting price of Vida VX2 to Rs 44,490 + battery rental charges.
This is a straight up Rs 15,000 reduction that the introductory offer is bringing, taking the proposition from impressive to tempting. This tempting price tag is for the base Go variant, while the top-spec Plus variant has been priced at Rs 57,990 + battery rental charges. Without BaaS plans, Vida VX2 Go costs Rs 99,490 (Ex-sh) and Plus costs Rs 1.10 lakh (Ex-sh).
    Vida VX2 Launch Price
However, Hero MotoCorp has not mentioned any time duration of this introductory offer. So, prices may revert back to previously announced ones at the company’s discretion. There is a possibility that Hero MotoCorp is looking at a certain booking volume, probably in six figures, which once achieved, will end this introductory offer.
    Specs & Range
Powering the just launched Vida VX2 is a removable battery system that can be charged in three ways. There’s DC fast charging support, AC charging directly from the scooter and AC charging by taking the batteries out. This versatility is quite commendable as no mainstream OEM is currently offering this much flexibility.
Speaking of batteries, Vida VX2 Go comes with a 2.2 kWh single removable battery pack, promising 92 km claimed range. In comparison, Vida VX2 Plus offers two removable batteries with a total capacity of 3.4 kWh, promising up to 142 km on a single charge. More

BMW F 450 GS To Get Semi-Automatic Gearbox Option – Launch Soon

BMW F 450 GS Spotted – ImabikerIt’s not just a bigger engine and more features – BMW F 450 GS could actually introduce a new tech in the form of a semi-automatic transmission
BMW F 450 GS, the smallest member of the GS family, will work as a replacement for the discontinued BMW G 310 GS. The bike will be manufactured in India by TVS Motor. Ahead of its launch, some new interesting details about the BMW F 450 GS have been revealed. Let’s check it out.
    BMW F 450 GS – Semi-automatic transmission option
One of the biggest revelations about the upcoming BMW F 450 GS so far is that it will feature a semi-automatic gearbox variant. There will be a conventional gearbox model as well, which will be available at a more accessible price point. The semi-automatic gearbox option to be introduced with F 450 GS may not be exactly the same as the ASA (Automated Shift Assistant) technology seen with BMW’s flagship models.
    BMW F 450 GS
BMW bikes like R 1300 GS Adventure and R 1300 GS have the ASA option. This tech is planned to be introduced with other BMW bikes as well, but exact details are not available. In bikes with ASA, users have the option to choose from two modes – A Mode and D Mode. In A mode, riders can change gears manually via the shift pedal without using the clutch. This is essentially the bike’s manual mode.
In D mode, the automatic mode, the advanced system manages the gear changes automatically. All stages including bike start, riding and stopping the bike are handled by the automatic gearbox. For the F 450 GS, BMW Motorrad is likely to provide a semi-automatic gearbox option. Installing the fully automatic gearbox requires tweaks to the bike’s standard transmission setup, which takes time.
    BMW F 450 GS
So, rollout of the automatic gearbox for BMW’s other bikes is likely to be done in a gradual manner. Development cost will also be a key factor in determining whether entry-level BMW bikes like F 450 GS will get an automatic gearbox option. For now, BMW is likely to introduce a semi-automatic gearbox option with F 450 GS.
    BMW F 450 GS
    450cc roadster, a faired model
It has also been revealed that BMW’s new 450cc platform could spawn new models in the future. While exact details have not been provided, it would be safe to expect a naked roadster and a faired version. However, a proper timeline for the launch of these models has not been revealed. For now, the F 450 GS is the primary focus.
Another detail recently revealed about BMW F 450 GS is that the bike will be getting rider modes. A quickshifter will be available as an optional feature. Moreover, the bike will be getting features that will enhance both on-road and off-road ride experience. In case of the latter, options could include switchable traction control and off-road mode with off-road ABS. Different wheel combos will be available including a 19-inch/17-inch wheel combination.
BMW F 450 GS will be using a new 450cc parallel twin-cylinder engine. Power output is 47.3 bhp, which aligns with the A2 licence category across Europe. BMW F 450 GS is expected to be launched across global markets and in India later this year. BMW’s 450cc platform will also be used with the upcoming TVS Apache 450 and Norton 450.
