Royal Enfield Electric FF C6 Spied In Chennai City

Royal Enfield Electric FF C6Unveiled at last year’s EICMA, the FF C6 electric cruiser bike is planned for launch in the first quarter of CY2026
Royal Enfield is stepping up its focus on the EV segment, and three bikes have already been spotted on road tests. It includes the FF C6 cruiser, FF S6 scrambler and HIM-E electric concept. Latest spy shots from automotive enthusiast Jeshwanth, show the FF C6 on road trials in Chennai. Let’s check out the details.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea (FF C6) – Key highlights
It is likely that FF C6 will be Royal Enfield’s first electric motorcycle to go on sale. Test mules have been spotted multiple times with heavy camouflage. Design aesthetics are a close match with the World War II era Flying Flea petrol-powered motorcycle that was in production from 1942 to 1945.
    Royal Enfield Electric FF C6
Some of the key features of Royal Enfield FF C6 electric cruiser include a circular headlamp, Girder forks, circular rear-view mirrors and a distinctive chassis design. The electric bike has minimal body panelling, quite similar to the original Flying Flea. The concept model unveiled at last year’s EICMA had some fine detailing on the battery compartment. The wavy fin-like structures enhance the bike’s visuals and also work to improve cooling.
Royal Enfield FF C6 has large alloy wheels, likely 19-inch at both ends. Fenders have old-school vibes and are fitted with struts for additional support. The bike has a comfortable, upright riding stance. The pillion seat could be removable to suit specific user preferences.
    Royal Enfield Electric FF C6
    Performance, range
Specs of Royal Enfield FF C6 have not been revealed, but one can expect performance similar to a 250cc to 350cc petrol-powered motorcycle. While the bike has largely a skinny profile, the battery compartment seems to have plenty of space. The bike could have a range of anywhere between 100 to 150 km.
FF C6 has a mid-mounted motor, connected to a belt-drive system. This setup is expected to improve balance and handling and ensure smoother, quieter rides. While not official, the battery pack could be of around 4-5 kWh capacity. FF C6 could get a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, which is known for its safety and longevity.
To reduce weight and improve cooling, the battery compartment is built using magnesium metal. Some advanced technologies have been used such as active thermal control and cell-level thermal monitoring. The battery pack of FF C6 will be IP-67 rated.
As seen in the spy shots, the belt drive setup is mounted on the right side. The bike has disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS is expected as standard. Tech kit will include a circular instrument console with a range of Bluetooth-based connectivity features. An earlier teaser had revealed a keyless system, with the start button mounted on the faux fuel tank. Turn-by-turn navigation will also be available, along with access to calls, text and music. More

    2026 PCX 160

350cc to 450cc Motorcycle Sales July 2025 – Royal Enfield, Triumph, Honda, Jawa, KTM, Bajaj, Harley

2025 Royal Enfield Hunter 350The mid-capacity motorcycle segment (350cc–450cc) in India posted a strong performance in July 2025, with total sales rising to 85,197 units, a healthy 19.52% increase YoY compared to 71,285 units in July 2024. On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, growth was marginal at 0.36%, indicating demand stability in this competitive segment. Royal Enfield continued its dominance with multiple models at the top, while newer entrants like Triumph and Aprilia tried to carve their space.
    Royal Enfield Maintains Strong Hold
Royal Enfield accounted for the lion’s share of sales in this segment. The Classic 350 led the pack with 26,516 units sold, up 24.06% YoY but down 9.10% MoM, showing a slight slowdown after a robust June. The Hunter 350 followed with 18,373 units, up 30.39% YoY and 12.99% MoM, proving its popularity among younger buyers. The Bullet 350 registered a stellar 59.28% YoY growth at 15,847 units, although MoM sales fell 7.28%. The Meteor 350 also contributed significantly with 8,600 units, an 8.85% YoY and 14.44% MoM increase.
350cc to 450cc Motorcycle Sales July 2025 – YoY Comparison
However, the Royal Enfield Himalayan struggled, with sales falling 43.81% YoY to 1,556 units and 23.58% MoM. Similarly, the new Guerrilla 450 managed only 688 units, down 53.17% YoY and marginally lower than June. These numbers suggest that while the classic and retro-styled REs remain strong, the brand’s adventure-focused models are under pressure.
    Rising Competition and Segment Shifts
Outside Royal Enfield, several brands posted encouraging results. The Triumph 400, built in collaboration with Bajaj, sold 3,538 units, marking a 14.09% YoY and 10.77% MoM gain. Honda’s CB350 showed impressive progress with 2,072 units, more than doubling YoY sales (104.95%) but down 12.24% MoM. Its sibling, the H’Ness 350, however, declined 10.96% YoY and 11.16% MoM at 1,170 units.
350cc to 450cc Motorcycle Sales July 2025 – MoM Comparison
Performance-focused models also showed varied results. The KTM 390 surged with 1,507 units, up 154.13% YoY and 48.62% MoM, while Bajaj Pulsar 400 declined sharply YoY (-65.27%) but improved MoM (25.27%) at 1,160 units. The Harley-Davidson X440 continued steady growth with 1,099 units, rising 34.68% YoY and 54.79% MoM.
Premium models like the Aprilia RS 457 and Tuono 457 remained niche with 157 units and 15 units, respectively, while the Husqvarna 401 sold just 20 units. Among laggards, Hero Mavrick collapsed to 5 units, down 98.14% YoY, showing customer disinterest.
The 350cc–450cc category continues to expand, driven largely by Royal Enfield’s dominance and increasing traction for new-age models like Triumph 400 and KTM 390. While July 2025 numbers highlight YoY growth across the board, MoM stability indicates the segment is consolidating. Going ahead, upcoming launches and festive demand could further fuel momentum in this mid-capacity space. More

Suzuki Gixxer 250 Recall Issued Over Rear Brakes – 5K Units Affected

    2025 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250
Suzuki’s 250cc lineup consists of some of the most underrated motorcycles on sale in India. Two of these motorcycles have now been recalled over rear brake assembly issues. Affected motorcycles will be attended by the company and the issue will be fixed at no additional cost on buyers.
    Suzuki Gixxer 250 Recall Issued
One of the leading 2W manufacturers in India, Suzuki has always been popular for its scooters like Access and Burgman Street. The company’s answer to Bajaj’s Pulsar, Yamaha’s FZ and TVS’ Apache is Gixxer lineup, offered in 150cc and 250cc powertrain options.
The larger 250cc lineup contains Gixxer 250 (street naked), Gixxer SF 250 (supersport) and V-Strom SX (adventure tourer). Both the 250cc Gixxers have now been recalled as these motorcycles face issues with their rear brake assemblies.
A total of 5,145 units of Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 have been recalled. These affected motorcycles were manufactured between February 2022 and June 2025. Owners can check this timeline against their VIN numbers or enquire at their nearest service centre.
    2025 Gixxer 250
As per the company, the issue is due to the use of rear brake assemblies dedicated for V-Strom SX on Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250, resulting in improper contact between rear pads and brake discs. This improper contact between pads and discs will lead to uneven wear and reduced braking performance.
    What next?
Now that the recall has been initiated, service centre will contact their nearest customers and schedule an appointment. Brake assemblies will be replaced by Suzuki at no additional cost passed on to the users.
Both Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and Gixxer 250 are known to be underrated motorcycles in India and do not perform very well where sales are concerned. Both motorcycles come equipped with a 249cc single-cylinder SOHC 4V oil-cooled engine, capable of generating around 26 bhp and 22 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
