With new motorcycles, Royal Enfield has successfully expanded its portfolio and the sales performance of those bikes will be seen soon
One of the world’s leading classic bike manufacturers, Royal Enfield, closed the sales account for the month of November 2024 with 72,236 units sold. Royal Enfield witnessed MoM decline in sales in November 2024. When compared to 1,01,886 units sold in October 2024, there was a 29.1% MoM decline. Thus losing 29,650 units in volume MoM.
Post the auspicious festival season, sales decline in MoM aspect is a common trend in India. However, the 72,236 units sold in November 2024, were not enough to outclass the 75,137 units sold last year in November 2023, resulting in a 3.86% YoY decline, losing 2,901 units in volume YoY.
Royal Enfield Sales Breakup Nov 2024
The company’s best-seller continued to be Classic 350 clocking 27,514 units last month. This number couldn’t outpace the 30,264 units sold last year and 38,297 units sold a month before. So, Classic 350 registered a 9.09% YoY decline and a 28.16% MoM decline. Classic 350 accounted for 38.09% of RE’s total sales.
With 16,193 units, Bullet 350 was RE’s 2nd best-selling product and accounted for 22.42% of company’s total sales. There was a 7.20% YoY decline as opposed to 17,450 units from last year and a 28% MoM decline when compared to 22,491 units sold a month before. Bullet 350 saw a volume loss of 1,257 units YoY and 6,298 units MoM.
Hunter 350 was company’s 3rd best-seller last month with 15,229 units. This was the first RE to register a YoY growth of 7.43% when compared to 14,176 units sold last year and accounted for 21.08% of company’s total sales. Where MoM progress is concerned, Hunter 350 saw a 28.67% decline, losing 6,121 units in volume.
The least-selling 350cc from RE was Meteor 350. With 7,181 units sold last month, there was a 10.81% YoY decline and a 35.52% MoM decline, the highest loss among 350s. In 5th place, we have the 650 Twins (interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650) with 2,974 units sold. Sales went up by 40.81% YoY and went down by 7.58% MoM.
The platform siblings, Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450, sold 1,534 and 797 units last month, respectively. While Himalayan saw 15.44% YoY and 30.24% MoM decline, Guerrilla 450 registered a hefty 49.68% MoM decline as sales almost halved. Himalayan and Guerrilla accounted for 2.12% and 1.10% of RE’s total sales respectively.
Super Meteor 650 Saw Highest MoM Decline
At 8th and 9th place, we have Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. Both these motorcycles are based on the same platform and there is a stark difference in sales when compared to the 650 Twins. Super Meteor 650’s sales more than halved both YoY and MoM aspects at 53.94% and 55.34% decline respectively. Shotgun’s sales went down by 23.92% MoM.
