First showcased to some Yamaha dealers at a recent event, 2025 FZ-S Hybrid has been a highly anticipated motorcycle for India. Yamaha has showcased the updated FZ-S to public for the first time at ongoing 2025 Auto Expo. It gets more features and more mileage (fuel efficiency), thanks to a mild-hybrid system.
2025 Yamaha FZ Hybrid Debuted
Yamaha is yet to launch FZ-S Hybrid in India, but the vehicle has been unveiled, showing all of its improved equipment. There are a few design changes too, which are interesting. For starters, 2025 Yamaha FZ Hybrid misses out on conventional front turn indicators, flanking its LED headlight setup.
Now, these turn indicators have been moved into the bike’s fuel tank shrouds. This seems to be done to make front fascia less cluttered than it used to be. It has to be noted that there was a regular FZ Ver 4.0 showcased beside this motorcycle, which had conventional turn indicator setup.
Where features and equipment is concerned, biggest change is in the form of a fully digital colour TFT instrument cluster on 2025 FZ Hybrid. This is a major departure from FZ’s previous LCD cluster. With Bluetooth connectivity on board, Yamaha has also given this bike turn-by-turn navigation. This cluster can be controlled with the new and improved switchgear.
Hybrid Heart
The main highlight of 2025 Yamaha FZ Hybrid is its powertrain, which now gets mild-hybrid technology. We can expect slightly better performance from this new hybrid powertrain as it provides a mild torque boost to improve acceleration. Fuel efficiency will be improved too and will be the key strength of this bike.
With the inclusion of SMG (Starter Motor Generator), FZ now gets a silent start function along with idle start/stop feature. Launch timeline and prices are not revealed yet. We can expect it to be launched in the coming months. There is a good probability that the Hybrid tech and new TFT cluster are only offered with DLX variant.
