A few weeks back, Suzuki had unveiled its first mass-market electric car, the eVitara, in Milan, Italy. In addition to the Indian market, eVitara will be introduced across multiple global locations such as the European Union and Japan. Maruti Suzuki eVitara will be manufactured at the company’s facility in Gujarat.

With its European debut done, eVitara is now getting ready for its Indian debut. Maruti Suzuki has now officially teased the eVitara ahead of its debut next month at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

He further added, “A critical barrier to the adoption of EVs is the lack of accessible charging. To tackle this issue, we are committed to introduce a reliable and comprehensive EV ecosystem alongside the eVITARA. This will include home charging solutions as well as a nationwide network of fast chargers available at Maruti Suzuki dealerships and service touchpoints. Our goal is to make EVs accessible, convenient, and appealing to a broader set of customers, and this is exactly what we have set out to achieve with the e VITARA.”

Two battery pack options will be available, 49 kWh and 61 kWh. LFP batteries are sourced from FinDreams, a subsidiary of BYD. These battery packs utilize the advanced blade cells, known for their safety and reliability. The 2WD model with the 49-kWh battery pack generates 142 hp and 189 Nm. With the 61-kWh battery pack, the 2WD model delivers 172 hp and 189 Nm. eVitara will also be available in 4WD format with the 61-kWh battery pack. This top model will have a dual-motor setup and generate 181 hp and 300 Nm.

eVitara 4WD setup will be branded as AllGRIP-e. Users can expect enhanced performance across both on-road and off-road tracks. It will be possible with the rear drive unit that is equipped with a Trail mode and has an LSD function. While official range figures are not available, it is estimated that the Maruti Suzuki eVitara could travel around 550 km on a full charge. The SUV will support fast charging, allowing users to quickly load the required miles within minutes.
