  • Former NBA player Dirk Nowitzki was driving his custom Mercedes-Benz Metris van when it got stuck in the mud.
  • His former teammate Deron Williams came in with the assists with his Dodge Ram pickup.
  • Nowitzki even asked Williams if he was in quarantine.

Retired NBA all-star Dirk Nowitzki was taking his pimped-out Mercedes-Benz Metris van to god knows where when he apparently got it stuck in the mud. His solution? Call up the first truck owner he could think of. Enter former teammate Deron Williams and his Dodge Ram pickup. Those poor white Nikes.

The CDC has suggested that everyone practice social distancing, and maybe that’s what Dirk was doing with his custom Mercedes Metris: going off the grid. Luckily, he wasn’t too far for his former teammate to give him the assist and pull him out of the mud with his Dodge Ram. Williams said Dirk even asked whether or not he was in quarantine.

Just look at the difference in the size of tires between the two. There’s no way Dirk is going too far off the grid with those.
