When Tata Tigor EV was launched, the company initially only made it available for EESL contract orders. Last year, the vehicle was made available for the taxi segment. Below are the detailed prices of Tata Nexon electric, petrol and diesel.

The latter will form the basis of all future electric vehicles for the passenger segment from Tata Motors. Tata Nexon EV benefits from a permanent magnet AC motor, and liquid-cooled Lithium-Ion battery pack that’s IP67 certified.Driving range as per ARAI certification is 312 kms. And the company says you can go from 0-100 kmph in less than 10 seconds. Driving modes include Drive and Sport.

As with the current need for smart vehicles, Tata Nexon EV will benefit from ZConnect app with a range of connected features including vehicle tracking, driving pattern assessment, navigation, speed alerts, locating charging points, and more.

On the design front, Tata Nexon EV is based on the Nexon facelift that was introduced in the market a few days earlier. This includes a flat-bottom steering wheel, instrument cluster, and LED DRLs. The top-end variant features an electric sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, and headlamps with ambient and tunnel detection. The vehicle highlights plenty of blue accents.

With the electric vehicle passenger car segment only juts coming into being, the vehicles on offer are in essence not competing with each other. However, the launch of more vehicles in this space will go a long way in making the EV segment more tangible. Following the launch of Hyundai Kona in 2019, the market then saw the MG ZS EV. And now, the Tata Nexon EV is here.

Online bookings are in place for test drives. As such, once a test drive booking is made, the Nexon EV will be brought to one’s doorstep for a test drive, as per requested time and date. Customers will be able to access a 650 strong charging network by March 2021. The home charging device is available with Nexon Ev at no extra charge, and installation will be provided by Tata Motors. Corporate customers have the option of lease. The company has designed flexible ownership options for a range of customers.
