Suzuki has launched the BS6 Burgman scooter at a starting price of Rs 77,900, ex-sh. At the same time, the older BS4 version has been discontinued.
Suzuki Burgman Street is now BS6 compliant. The 125cc premium scooter’s engine is more ‘greener’ than before, and makes for a smooth riding experience. BS6 compliant Burgman Street features Fuel Injection tech, and Integrated Engine start and Kill switch. Both aim for smooth riding and lower emissions. The manufacturer, though a small player in the market when it comes to volumes enjoys success in the 125cc scooter segment in India. Suzuki is ‘confident that the upgraded Burgman Street with BS6 will add a zing to an overall riding experience for our customers.’
BS6 Suzuki Burgman Streer features an all-aluminum 4 stroke, single-cylinder 124cc engine. Fuel Injection engine tech enables an easy start even in cold conditions, along with smooth power delivery and optimum combustion efficiency. Suzuki Eco Performance Technology enables the engine to produce max power of 8.7 PS @ 6750rpm and 10 Nm @ 5500 rpm of torque. The premium scooter strives for top-class power performance and low fuel consumption.
Convenience is optimised with an Integrated Engine start and kill switch with Suzuki Easy Start System feature, which boosts engine start function in traffic conditions for improved riding. New BS6 Burgman Street comes with a front chrome accent, and chrome rear body bits, body-mounted windscreen, and upward muffler design.
It’s now available in Metallic Matte Bordeaux Red colour option. It’s ergonomic design is built around a long seat and flexible foot position for a comfy riding experience, stability, ample space for pillion rider, and reduced fatigue. This overall convenience appals to those with daily city and long commute needs.
2020 Suzuki Burgman scooter features a secured and functional front glove box with DC socket as standard fitment. This is convenient for mobile charging on the go, and to store small stuff. Bright LED headlights and Combined Braking System (CBS) improves night visibility, and smooth braking operation. In all, the scooter is now viable in S4 colour schemes – Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray, Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Matte Black No. 2, and Metallic Matte Bordeaux Red. In the backdrop of sales slowdown that’s been further constricted owing to process adjustments related to BS6 transition, Suzuki has in fact managed to hold it’s own reporting 11.38 percent sales decline in January 2020. The result in red came after months of sales being in the green.
