Revolt electric launch date for Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai

Revolt electric launch date announced for Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai. The company has been present in Delhi and Pune since August 2019.

Revolt Intellicorp has announced its plans to enter four new regions in the Indian automotive market: Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai. Back in August 2019, the company launched its very first products — RV400 and RV300 — in Delhi and Pune. The Revolt RV400 and RV300 are titled as ‘India’s first AI-enabled motorcycles’ and come under a monthly subscription scheme (My Revolt Plan or MRP) starting at Rs 3,499 and Rs 2,999, respectively. The instalments have to be done for 37 months.

In the cities which it currently operates, Revolt has brought down its initial waiting period from five months to under three months (effective from March 2020). With the new expansion plans underway, waiting periods will become even shorter in the months to come.

In its second phase on the Indian market, Revolt Intellicorp will begin operations in Ahmedabad on February 29. Revolt outlets in Hyderabad and Chennai will be opened on March 2 and March 5, respectively. Meanwhile, the brand’s Mumbai-debut will take place only towards the end of March.

The Revolt RV400 is the brand’s highlight product. It will be available with a host of introductory benefits as part of the standard package. This includes a battery warranty of 8 years or 1.5 lakh kms, free maintenance benefits for 3 years or 30,000 kms, product warranty of 5 years or 75,000 kms and insurance (1-year company-owned or 5-year third-party).

The RV400 is powered by a 3.24kWh Li-ion battery that is coupled to a 3kW battery. Combined, the powertrain makes close to 7bhp and 170Nm (motor torque) and essentially puts it against the popular names in the commuter motorcycle market. It has a claimed top speed of 85km/h and a maximum range of 150kms on a full charge. The portable battery pack can be charged from empty to full in roughly 4.5 hours, using a wall charger. 75% charge can be attained in three hours.

The Revolt RV400 comes with three riding modes: Eco, Normal and Sports. The varied output characteristics in each mode are accompanied by a range of 150km, 100km and 80km, respectively. In Eco mode, the motorcycle can only hit a maximum speed of 45km/h. It gets disc brakes on either end and comes with CBS (Combined Braking System). For the output, regulations do not mandate the need for an ABS unit. Overall, the Revolt RV400 and RV300 are decent choices in the commuter market.
