BSA Thunderbolt ADV Bike Unveiled At EICMA – Launch In 2026

BSA Thunderbolt ADV Bike Unveiled at EICMABSA is marking a major comeback as the brand just unveiled its 4th motorcycle in the revival project. We are talking about BSA Thunderbolt, which was just unveiled at EICMA Show 2025. After Gold Star 650, Bantam 350 and Scrambler 650, BSA Thunderbolt becomes the company’s 4th motorcycle and its first-ever ADV style offering. Let’s take a closer look.
    BSA Thunderbolt ADV Bike
At the ongoing EICMA 2025 show, BSA just unveiled its first-ever off-road oriented Adventure Tourer in the form of Thunderbolt. BSA is now owned by Classic Legends alongside other classic brands like Jawa and Yezdi. Thunderbolt is a nod to the past and an advance into the future, where design is concerned.
    BSA Thunderbolt Unveiled at EICMA
BSA Thunderbolt nameplate holds significance for the brand as it was the last-ever motorcycle to roll out of its Birmingham plant in 1972. After 53 years, BSA Thunderbolt marks its resurgence and its foray into the now popular ADV segment. While BSA is yet to confirm India launch, it will be available for select global markets in mid-2026.
Where design is concerned, BSA Thunderbolt looks like it is a modern take of Yezdi Adventure with focus extended towards touring as well as off-roading. This is a welcome move as Classic Legends will now have a premium tourer to rival the likes of Hero Xpulse 210, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the recently launched TVS Apache RTX 300.

Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler Unveiled As Hunk 440 SX – India Launch Likely?

Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler UnveiledAfter unveiling Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition, Hero MotoCorp unveiled another important bike which could launch in Indian market. No, it is not the Xpulse 440, but a Scrambler variant of Mavrick 440. Design of this motorcycle has been patented in India and the name Mavrick 440 Scrambler has been trademarked as well.
However, the motorcycle showcased at EICMA 2025 by Hero MotoCorp was Mavrick 440 Scrambler, but with Hunk branding as Hunk SX which is reserved for global markets. The company has not confirmed whether India will get Mavrick 440 Scrambler or not, but it looks quite promising. Let’s take a closer look.
    Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler Unveiled
    Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler
Mavrick 440 has been one of the most underrated motorcycles on sale in India and is quite an enjoyable bike. However, it doesn’t quite have enough panache to smash the sales charts. It was designed to make its brand-engineered Harley-Davidson counterpart look more appealing. The company showcased a variant of Mavrick 440 with USD forks and a TFT screen which looked quite promising.
However, there was a more promising version of Mavrick 440 whose design was patented in India. It was a Scrambler version of Mavrick 440 with quite a few hardware changes to make it more rugged and trail worthy. Hero MotoCorp has even trademarked the name Mavrick 440 Scrambler in India.
    Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler Unveiled
We wish Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler is launched in India as it ditches the commuter-bike design with something that is more exciting. Establishing excitement are elements like a front fly-screen finished in a White colour. This contrasts well with Orange fuel tank and side body panels used with this particular Hunk SX model.
Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler Unveiled as Hunk 440 SX
    What to expect?
Other notable changes include fork gaiters for front RSU telescopic forks, chunkier tank pads, a split seat setup, completely new rear subframe with a retro pillion grab rail. Alloy wheel design is more exciting too. Sticking to its Scrambler DNA, this bike gets a bash plate and an up-swept exhaust setup. It also gets ride-by-wire technology now.
Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler Unveiled as Hunk 440 SX
All these changes make Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler (Hunk 440 SX) quite a bit more desirable. Where features are concerned, it might borrow the vertically oriented TFT instrument screen along with switchable dual-channel ABS.
Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler Unveiled as Hunk 440 SX
The same long-stroke 440cc oil-cooled engine with 27 bhp of peak power and 36 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox might be carried forward. If launched in India, it will directly take on Royal Enfield Scram 440.

Fast forwarding to November 2025, Hero has just confirmed the launch of Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition.
This is similar to what the Pro variant of Xpulse 200 was. So, a lot of off-road worthy components, but based on the top-spec, ‘Top’ variant. So, it will get all the bells and whistles, for a little more money than standard variant. Same is likely to be the case with Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition, just unveiled at EICMA Show 2025. Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition was long overdue and off-road motorcycling enthusiasts in India are waiting on their heels to get their hand on this hardcore version of Xpulse 210.
The company’s Dakar DNA has trickled down on to this motorcycle and it continues to feature a similar colour scheme of White, Red and Black as seen with Xpulse 200 Pro variant. It looks like the only design difference to set it apart from standard variant is its colourway. Price is yet to be announced and a launch will happen soon in India.
Hero Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition Unveiled
    Hardware Upgrade
Hero Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition is a major hardware upgrade to the already brilliant Xpulse 210. In that regard, we get upgraded suspension with longer travel and increased ground clearance, which unlocks more capabilities off-road. Not just that, suspension is now adjustable too, with accessible compression and rebound settings.
Also adding to its ground clearance is Maxxis knobby tyres, which offers impeccable grip and traction on loose surfaces off-road. The company is likely to offer dual-purpose tyres as an option. To accommodate this increased height, there will be a taller side stand as well. Seat looks like it is similar to stock one, but one can always opt for a Rally Edition seat.
    Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition Unveiled
It will be powered by the same 210cc single-cylinder DOHC 4V/cyl liquid cooled engine as stock bike, churning out about 24.2 bhp of peak power and 20.7 Nm of peak torque, mated to a slipper clutch and a 6-speed gearbox. Disc brake setups at both ends, dual-channel ABS, TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth and Navigation and other features.

Norton Manx R heralds new lineup at EICMA 2025

Norton Motorcycles at EICMA 2025Manx R sets tone for Norton’s renewed superbike roadmap
Manx R introduced as Norton’s first new model in a six-motorcycle lineup under its resurgence strategy. Revealed at EICMA, Norton Manx R is a premium superbike segment offering. Built for road and track, it represents rider-centric engineering aimed at balanced performance and functional design integration.
Operates under four core design principles—modern, integrated, dramatic, connected—developed through a unified engineer–designer process. The reductive design removes creases, decals, and wings, maintaining visible but minimal fixings. Design focus follows Norton’s “Nortonness” philosophy, led by Professor Gerry McGovern and Simon Skinner. Visual structure takes cues from precision timepieces, resulting in a sculpted, mechanical form.
    Norton Manx R
    V4 engine delivers 206 hp
Powered by a 72-degree, 1,200 cc liquid-cooled V4 engine built from an all-alloy construction. Output reaches 206 hp at 11,500 rpm and 130 Nm at 9,000 rpm. Development centred on torque distribution between 5,000 and 10,000 rpm to support strong real-world acceleration below 11,000 rpm. Performance calibration derives from an 18,500-mile telemetry dataset used for torque mapping and engine refinement. Cylinder banks operate independently for smoother throttle response through a ride-by-wire system. Target power-to-weight ratio remains 1 hp per kg, with the total weight limited to 204 kg.
Transmission setup includes a six-speed constant mesh gearbox and a wet, multiplate slipper clutch. Gear ratios remain short with a taller final drive ratio of 2.41:1. An electronic quickshifter supports rev-matching and optimal gear shift suggestions through onboard sensors.
Single-cast frame anchors Manx R’s stiffness and feedback
Frame uses cast construction, balancing stiffness and controlled flex for direct road feedback. Manufacturing employs a single casting process to ensure structural consistency, tighter tolerances, and reduced assembly variation. Geometry reflects Norton’s heritage links to the Isle of Man TT, tuned for road performance over racetrack orientation.
Suspension integrates a semi-active Marzocchi system co-developed in Bologna. Front and rear units remain fully adjustable with separate compression and rebound damping. Real-time sensors monitor throttle, braking, and cornering forces for adaptive control. Five riding modes—Rain, Road, Sport, and two Track profiles—adjust damping accordingly.
    Brembo monobloc setup
Braking employs Brembo HYPURE aluminium monobloc callipers with dual 330 mm front and 245 mm rear discs. A lean-sensitive ABS adapts braking pressure to lean angle and speed for stable cornering. Heat control features a spring-pad-pin system limiting residual torque under extended use.
Wheels use BST carbon fibre construction paired with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V4SP tyres. Dimensions include 120/70 front and 200/55 rear sizes mounted on 17-inch rims. Lightweight wheels support precise steering and reduced unsprung mass. Electronic systems operate through the Bosch 10.3 platform featuring Bluetooth, GoPro control, and smart device synchronisation. An 8-inch TFT screen displays performance data, while Norton’s app enables remote access, live tracking, and rider personalisation.
    Manx, and Atlas Models
It spearheads a broader lineup alongside —Manx, Atlas, and Atlas GT—each shaped by Norton’s same design and engineering ethos. Manx follows the Manx R’s framework with refined intensity, applying its reductive form and torque-rich dynamics for street performance. Its upright ergonomics and intuitive electronic control system balance agility with control across varying conditions. Every feature aligns toward precise mechanical response and rider engagement.
Atlas serves as a multipurpose platform combining structural lightness and adaptive power delivery. Designed to handle varied terrain, it supports flexibility for both urban and long-distance travel. Chassis geometry and electronic assistance systems maintain composure under variable loads and environments. Atlas GT focuses on long-range usability, integrating lightweight alloy wheels, tuned suspension, and rider assistance electronics for consistent comfort. Engine calibration balances sustained torque output with responsive throttle management. Built for both commuting and extended touring, Atlas GT extends Norton’s engineering direction across practical and performance contexts. More
