Yamaha Launching New Motorcycle Today – XSR155 with Retro Soul, R15 Heart ?

New Yamaha XSR 155 launch today? Image – Yamaha Perfect RidersYamaha Motor India is all set to introduce a brand-new motorcycle today, November 11, 2025. While the company has not officially confirmed the model, strong indications and recent test mule sightings suggest it is the much-awaited Yamaha XSR155, a neo-retro roadster that combines vintage appeal with modern-day performance. This will mark Yamaha’s first all-new motorcycle launch after the R3 and MT-03 duo.
    Retro-Modern Design with Proven Underpinnings
The upcoming XSR155 will be based on the R15 V4 platform, sharing the same engine, chassis, and suspension setup but dressed in a completely different, old-school form factor. Spy shots captured in September revealed key design highlights — a round LED headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and a flat single-piece seat, all staying true to the globally popular XSR design DNA.
    Yamaha XSR155 Spied Testing
It also features USD telescopic front forks, a monoshock rear suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, and dual-disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. A circular digital LCD instrument cluster adds to the retro character while retaining Yamaha’s modern touch.
    R15-Derived Powertrain
Powering the XSR155 will likely be the same 155cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) from the R15 and MT-15. This motor produces around 18.5 PS and 14 Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and assist and slipper clutch. The performance, refinement, and reliability of this setup have already been proven on Yamaha’s other models — meaning the XSR155 should deliver a familiar yet engaging ride experience.
    Yamaha XSR155 Spied Testing
Thanks to India’s new GST 2.0 reforms, which reduced tax slabs for smaller-capacity motorcycles, Yamaha could price the XSR155 aggressively below the R15. This would make it an attractive choice for enthusiasts looking for something premium yet accessible — a motorcycle that blends daily usability with timeless design.
    Launch Expectations
Yamaha India has been teasing a new product for weeks, and the timing aligns perfectly with the XSR155’s introduction. The motorcycle could be launched alongside the NMax 155 maxi-scooter — both powered by the same platform and engine. Once launched, the XSR155 will compete with bikes like the TVS Ronin, Bajaj Pulsar N160, etc, offering a perfect mix of nostalgia and performance.
If the pricing is right, Yamaha could have a potential bestseller on its hands — appealing to urban riders who value style, performance, and individuality in equal measure. Stay tuned as Yamaha officially takes the wraps off its newest motorcycle today — likely the XSR155 — a retro classic reimagined for the modern era. More

Ola Compact Electric Car Design Patented In India – Comet EV Rival

Ola Compact Electric Car Design PatentedIt is possible that Ola’s compact electric car could be based on the brand’s new modular Gen 4 EV architecture
Even as it faces headwinds in its electric two-wheeler business, Ola continues to focus on innovation and launch of new products and features. The company is also eyeing emerging opportunities, which have significant potential for future growth. A relevant example is the electric four-wheeler segment, which currently has low market penetration. Ola could be looking to target this space, as evident with the recent filing of a design patent for a compact EV. Let’s get more details on this story.
Ola compact EV – Design and features
As revealed in the design patent, Ola’s compact electric car has a boxy, tallboy profile. In terms of its silhouette, Ola EV seems similar to the MG Comet EV. However, Ola EV has four doors and a boot, as compared to 2 door + boot format seen with Comet EV. From the design images, it appears that Ola EV will have larger dimensions as compared to the Comet EV.
    Ola Compact EV Design Patented
To optimize interior space, Ola EV has the wheels placed at the extreme corners. This reduces the overhang at both ends, lending a utilitarian look and feel for the car. Other exterior features follow the same design approach. One can notice a largely flat front fascia and a simple bumper design. The EV has sharp lighting elements and could get a full-width LED strip.
Ola EV has the charging port installed at the front. Other key highlights include circular wheel arches, prominent door trims, flat door panels, a flat roof, a flat boot lid and wraparound tail lamps. Matching the design at the front, the rear could also get a full-width LED strip. Ola EV uses large windows, which will help amplify the sense of space. Door handles appear to be placed on the B and C pillars, ensuring a clutter-free side profile.
    Ola Compact EV Design Patented
    Ola EV – Range, specs
Although there are no official details, one can expect the Ola EV to offer a range of around 200-250 km. For context, the MG Comet EV has a certified range of 230 km. Another offering in the entry-level EV space is the Tiago EV. The Tiago MR and LR variants have a range of 223 km and 293 km, respectively.
Ola’s new Gen 4 platform is currently under development. At the Sankalp 2025 event, Ola had stated that the new Gen 4 platform will be highly versatile and come with “infinite possibilities”. In addition to a small EV, the new Gen 4 platform from Ola could also be used for LCVs and 3-wheelers. With a single versatile platform, Ola can significantly reduce development costs for new products.
    Ola Compact EV Design Patented
Ola could use its new 4680 Bharat cell, which has been developed in-house. This will further reduce costs and cut down dependence on external suppliers. Possibilities for innovation and upgrades also become easier with in-house technologies. Ola’s battery cells were recently certified by ARAI. These are being manufactured at the company’s Gigafactory in Tamil Nadu.

Bajaj Electric Motorcycles In The Works – Pulsar EV Incoming?

Bajaj Pulsar Electric : Image for reference onlyWith versatility built in, Bajaj’s new platform will spawn multiple models including electric commuter motorcycles and premium, performance-oriented machines
Bajaj currently leads in the electric scooter segment, after registering a massive 58.5% MoM growth in October 2025. While this is a major milestone, Bajaj is already looking to further strengthen its presence in the electric two-wheeler segment. It will come via an entirely new range of electric motorcycles, based on a new, in-house platform. Let’s check out the details.
    Bajaj electric motorcycle platform
For the new electric platform, Bajaj will leverage its expertise in the electric scooter and ICE motorcycle segments. Chetak is already a bestseller and brands like Pulsar, Boxer and CT are widely preferred across the globe. Once user requirements are properly understood, it becomes easier to develop a well-rounded product.
Bajaj’s new platform for its electric motorcycles is being developed as part of a “vigorous R&D push”. It’s like working proactively, in line with the evolution of electric mobility. It makes sense since the electric two-wheeler segment is currently dominated by electric scooters. In comparison, electric motorcycles contribute only around 1% to overall electric two-wheeler sales in the country.
Although Bajaj is fully committed to the development of its electric motorcycles, there is no surety on how this segment will evolve in the future. While Chetak has emerged as a bestseller, it’s challenging to predict similar outcomes for Bajaj’s new electric motorcycles. But in business, one can also be driven by the motto of high risk, high returns.
    Bajaj Chetak 3001
Bajaj’s approach is mature and balanced, as it primarily wants to be ready with products that can meet consumer needs in the future. Bajaj Executive Director, Rakesh Sharma, said that it’s a greater loss to not work on an opportunity than to not get the expected returns from an investment. This clearly indicates that Bajaj’s electric motorcycle project will start as an R&D-focused initiative. If the market evolves along expected lines, Bajaj can quickly scale up to launch relevant products.
    More electric motorcycles incoming
Current options for customers in the electric motorcycle segment include products like Revolt RV400, Ola Roadster, Oben Rorr and Ultraviolette F77. As is evident, there are no legacy players in this segment. This could change in the future, as brands like Royal Enfield and Hero MotoCorp are working to launch their respective electric motorcycles.
With more options to explore and the trust and reliability associated with established brands, there will be greater confidence to try electric motorcycles. A similar pattern was seen in the electric scooter segment, where established brands like Bajaj and TVS have outpaced the EV startups. Hero MotoCorp has also shown strong growth, now ranked 5th in the list of best selling electric two-wheeler brands.
With its new range of electric motorcycles, Bajaj could also target export markets. Bajaj is India’s largest two-wheeler exporter with presence in 70+ markets. Locations like Europe could see good demand for electric motorcycles. More

    Honda CB300R De-Listed From Website – Discontinued?

Honda CB300RHonda Motorcycles and Scooters India has a vast portfolio in the country. At the premium end of this portfolio within the single-cylinder offerings, we had CB300R, a neo retro motorcycle. CB300R was first launched all the way back in February 2019, marking a new journey for CB lineup in India.
Fast-forwarding to October 2025, Honda seems to be pulling the plug on this motorcycle. It was recently de-listed from the company’s official website suggesting a discontinuation. Will there be an updated version of CB300R? Or was it the last of premium 300cc single-cylinder offerings from Honda? Let’s take a closer look.
    Honda CB300R
    Honda CB300R Discontinued
CB300R from Honda has had quite a journey in India. It was first launched in February 2019 for a price tag of Rs 2.41 lakh (Ex-sh) via the CKD route. It was discontinued in July 2020 and a new BS6 model was awaited. It was then re-launched in India in January 2022 with more localised components and a few updates for a price tag of Rs 2.77 lakh (Ex-sh).
In October 2023, Honda slashed the prices of CB300R to Rs 2.4 lakh (Ex-sh), down by Rs 37k, making it more appealing to buyers. Last month, the GST 2.0 revisions made CB300R even more appealing by bringing the price down to Rs 2.19 lakh (Ex-sh), down by as much as Rs 21k.
    Honda CB300R
Despite the price revisions, CB300R remained as one of the company’s least-selling vehicles. Which could have led to a potential discontinuation of CB300R in October 2025. The main strength of CB300R was its weight. Or the lack thereof. It weighed 146 kg, while packing around 32 PS of peak power from its 286cc single-cyl liquid-cooled engine.
    Will it make a comeback?
We sure hope so, given the seesaw moments CB300R has had in our market. With latest GST 2.0 revisions benefitting motorcycles under 350cc, there is huge potential if Honda packages CB300R better. The model discontinued (potentially), lacked a modern TFT instrumentation with Bluetooth and Navigation, Type-C ports and other features.
    New Honda Roadster Patented
There is a new neo-retro premium motorcycle has been patented in India and we wish it is the next CB300R packed with premium features. USD telescopic front forks, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, fat and sticky tyres, a new TFT screen with a host of features, and more, could be part of the package. More

Electric Origin, Built on INGLO – The Game-Changing Mahindra XEV 9S

Mahindra XEV 9SAfter redefining the segment with BE 6 and XEV 9e, Mahindra is now gearing up for its biggest electric SUV yet — the all-new XEV 9S. Aimed at families and enthusiasts alike, it’s India’s first 7-seater born-electric SUV, designed to combine practicality with electrifying performance. Ahead of a formal launch on 26th and 27th November at the Scream Electric event in Bengaluru, let’s dive deep into what makes XEV 9S the next big launch from Mahindra.
    Mahindra XEV 9S
India’s First True 7-Seater Electric SUV
There are 5-seater electric SUVs and a 7-seater electric crossover MPV on sale in India. Mahindra is staying ahead of the curve with XEV 9S as it is the first mainstream automaker in India to offer a 7-seater electric SUV. A combination which rivals have not cracked yet, Mahindra has.
    Mahindra XEV 9S
A True Blue SUV, Built the Mahindra Way – Rugged, Refined, and Ready
After experiencing BE 6 and XEV 9e, we are pretty sure that Mahindra XEV 9S will be nothing less than a true blue SUV. Mahindra’s rugged SUV DNA has trickled down from its decades of impeccable experience. It will encompass the essence of being an SUV with sophisticated ride quality and exceptional rough-road ability.
    Mahindra XEV 9S
Luxury, Tech and Performance – All in One
Mahindra XEV 9S will usher in a new era of electric mobility as it is a paradigm shift in features and equipment offered by any mainstream OEM in India. It will build on the strengths of XEV 9e, which has already established itself as a dominant electric SUV. Triple 12.3-inch screen dashboard, industry-leading 1,400W 16-speaker Harman Kardon system, sophisticated ambient lighting, exquisite materials and luxurious upholstery all make for a stellar package.
Features like powered front seats with driver seat memory function, ventilated front seats, multi-zone climate control, dedicated AC vents for 2nd and 3rd row seating, Level-2 ADAS, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Snapdragon’s extreme computing power, comprehensive OTA updates and connected tech will be a part of Mahindra XEV 9S.
    Mahindra INGLO Architecture
Electric Origin SUV based on INGLO platform – Comfort for all!
Unlike rival eSUVs that are mostly derived EVs with technological prowess of the past, Mahindra XEV 9S is based on born electric INGLO platform which is tech-forward and ready for the future. This platform promises sophisticated ride quality with its 5-link independent rear suspension with frequency dependent damping.
Also, INGLO based vehicles have been offered with RWD layout as standard, which will be true with XEV 9S as well. INGLO platform is born electric and it offers a flat floor without any transmission tunnel. The skateboard platform of INGLO architecture ensures better space management ensuring your family travels in utmost comfort.
Adding to overall comfort is the fact that Mahindra XEV 9S will come with sliding 2nd row seats. This allows flexibility for 2nd row occupants to slide back for maximum comfort or carve out more knee room for 3rd row occupants. Adding versatility is folding 3rd row seats, which will unlock a cavernous boot space.
    Mahindra XEV 9e Frunk
    Full Sized Usable Frunk
Unlike rival brands that offer a frunk as an after-though, the frunk on Mahindra XEV 9S is inviting. Bonnet gets assisted pneumatic struts for a premium experience and it opens up to a full-sized frunk and a curated experience. These elements make XEV 9S’s frunk genuinely useful, further adding versatility to the overall package.
    Mahindra XEV 9S
    Dual-Pane Openable Panoramic Sunroof
Sunroof has emerged as an aspirational feature for Indian SUV buyers. In BE 6 and XEV 9e, Mahindra offered a fixed glass roof. With Mahindra XEV 9S, the company will offer a dual-pane panoramic sunroof that can open to let fresh air inside the cabin.
Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e
30,000 Mahindra Electric Origin SUVs sold
With the Mahindra XEV 9S, the brand is once again pushing boundaries — combining space, technology, and performance in a way that’s unmistakably Mahindra. Built on the powerful INGLO platform and backed by the trust of over 30,000 Mahindra eSUVs already on Indian roads, the XEV 9S is not just an SUV — it’s the next milestone in India’s electric journey. VinFast Limo Green 7s Electric MPV Spied Testing In India – Carens Clavis EV Rival

VinFast Limo Green 7s Electric MPV SpiedVietnamese EV maker VinFast seems to be accelerating its plans for the Indian market. After filing design patents earlier this year, its upcoming Limo Green 7-seater electric MPV has now been spotted testing on Indian roads for the very first time. These latest spy shots, captured by automotive enthusiast Sandeep, reveal a fully camouflaged test mule, hinting that India could be one of the key markets for this new electric people mover.
    First-ever sighting in India
The heavily camouflaged prototype closely resembles the design of the VinFast Limo Green, which was recently launched in Vietnam. The test mule features the same tall, upright stance, distinctive vertical tail lamps, and a large glasshouse — elements clearly visible despite the camouflage. The alloy wheel design and the tailgate profile appear similar to the model seen in the earlier patent filings, further confirming its identity.
VinFast Limo Green 7s Electric MPV Spied
From the side, the vehicle’s silhouette suggests a three-row seating layout, and the upright proportions confirm that it will prioritize cabin space and practicality. The test mule also features a digital instrument cluster visible through the windshield, confirming that the model is in an advanced stage of testing.
    Built for Indian roads
The Limo Green measures around 4.74 meters in length with a 2,840 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance is expected to be around 170 mm, well-suited for Indian road conditions.
VinFast Limo Green 7s Electric MPV Spied
Under the skin, the Limo Green is powered by a 60.1 kWh battery pack paired with a 201 bhp electric motor, producing 280 Nm of torque. It’s a front-wheel-drive setup, offering a certified range of around 450 km (NEDC). Fast charging from 10–70% is said to take just 30 minutes.
VinFast Limo Green 7s Electric MPV Spied
    Interior and features
In Vietnam, the Limo Green features a clean, minimalist cabin with a 10.1-inch infotainment display, leatherette upholstery, 360-degree camera, and a floating centre console. The model will likely bring similar equipment to India, with three-row seating for seven occupants.
If launched in India, the VinFast Limo Green would become one of the few all-electric 7-seater MPVs, joining the likes of the BYD eMAX 7 and the Kia Carens Clavis EV. Given its size and feature set, it could also appeal to both premium family buyers and fleet operators seeking a spacious, eco-friendly people carrier.
VinFast Limo Green 7s Electric MPV Spied
    Made in Tamil Nadu
VinFast has already inaugurated its Toothukudi facility in Tamil Nadu, the company’s first manufacturing plant outside Vietnam. The new facility will support local production and exports, and the Limo Green could very well be one of the first models assembled there.
In Vietnam, the Limo Green is priced at around VND 749 million (approx. Rs 25 lakh), inclusive of a 7-year/1.6 lakh km warranty. If priced competitively in India, the model could be a strong addition to the growing electric MPV segment. With local testing now underway, expect the VinFast Limo Green to make its Indian debut sometime next year, strengthening the brand’s portfolio alongside the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs. More
