Yamaha Motor India Pvt Ltd’s current flagship, the YZF-R15, has just received a price cut. The company is offering this price cut as part of its 70th Anniversary Special Price initiative. These special prices come into effect from January 5th, 2026 and there is no specified timeline for this special revised prices and can change at the company’s discretion.
2026 Yamaha R15 70th Anniversary Price
As part of this initiative, Yamaha Motor India is offering price reductions with its prized possession, the R15. We’re talking about a systematic Rs 5,000 off on all R15 variants for 2026 model year. With this 70th Anniversary special price in place, Yamaha R15 supersport range of motorcycles now start from a starting sticker price of Rs 1.51 lakh (Ex-sh).
This entry-price point is for R15 S, which is basically the last gen R15 V3.0. The latest generation R15 V4 starts from Rs 1.66 lakh (Ex-sh) and the higher-spec R15 M has been priced at a starting price of Rs 1.81 lakh (Ex-sh). This price revision is geared to make R15 and its exhilarating riding experience more affordable to the masses.
Except for a price cut, there are no other changes with R15 supersport motorcycle with the 70th Anniversary Special Prices. Even in terms of features and equipment, R15 has not had any changes and comes with the same set of features as it did before, with respect to its colour and variant.
Where sales are concerned, R15 is an important motorcycle for Yamaha as this entry-level supersport motorcycle has manufactured over one million units in India. That is thanks to the unprecedented popularity of this motorcycle in India. R15 is preferred for its race-driven design and cutting-edge technology, while not ruining everyday ridability.
Unmatched Popularity
The latest update to R15 happened around a couple of years ago which brought more modern TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, Yamaha Y-Connect ap support and even LED turn indicators. Only the R15M gets more novel features like a bi-directional quick shifter.
Where equipment is concerned, Yamaha R15 offers USD telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock setup, 17-inch alloy wheels with 100-section front and 140-section rear tyres, front and rear single disc brake setup with dual-channel ABS and all of these cycle parts are mounted on a raunchy Deltabox Perimeter frame and is covered by a handsome and functional fairing. The 155cc single-cylinder is a liquid-cooled unit with a peak power of 18.4 PS and 14.2 Nm of peak torque.
