2021 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Online Bookings Via Amazon India At Rs 3k

New Kawasaki Ninja 300. Image – Vinod NareshanKawasaki Ninja 300 competes against the likes of TVS Apache RR 310 and KTM RC 390
Online shopping sites have witnessed exponential growth in their businesses in the last few years, even more during the Covid-19 pandemic. To make use of this popularity, the new 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 300 will be now available for booking from online retail giant Amazon.
    Ninja 300 Booking Through Amazon
This is the first instance where a premium automotive brand has opted to accept bookings through an online shopping site. However, one still has to visit the nearest Kawasaki showroom to take delivery of the entry-level Ninja. An online user can book the faired sports bike by paying a token amount of Rs 3,000.
    Kawasaki Ninja 300 Online Booking
In return, Amazon will send a pre-booking voucher at the user’s doorstep which then can be redeemed against the bike’s ex-showroom price. For reference, in its latest iteration, Ninja 300 has been priced at Rs 3.18 lakh (ex-showroom).
This pre-booking voucher comes with a few terms and conditions in order to satisfy a clear transaction. This has been done to limit the multiple visits to the showroom. With this, a user only needs to visit the dealership at the time of delivery of his/her motorcycle.

    2021 Ninja 300 Design Updates
The updated Ninja 300 has already started reaching dealerships across the country. As we have already covered in our previous stories, the 2021 Ninja has only subtle cosmetic updates over its predecessor.
    Kawasaki Ninja 300 Online Booking
In terms of its styling, it continues to sport familiar design elements including an aggressive dual headlamp setup, a muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, a chrome heat shield on the muffler, upswept exhaust and a minimalist tail section.
Also, the turn indicators are now integrated into the fairing-mounted wing mirrors. The motorcycle gets a fresh appeal thanks to the new colour schemes on offer. These include Lime Green, Candy Lime Green and Ebony. One of these options utilises a white engine cowl with red highlights which enhances its sporty appeal.
    Engine Specifications
As far as performance is concerned, it employs the same 296cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine although it is now BS6 compliant. It generates an output of 38.4 bhp at 11,000 rpm and 27 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm and is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch for smoother gear shifts.
Dynamics of the BS4 Ninja 300 has been carried forward to the BS6 Ninja which comprises a tube diamond steel frame that is suspended on 37 mm telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at rear. Anchoring duties are handled by 290mm front and 220mm rear petal disc brakes while a safety net is provided by dual-channel ABS as standard. More

2021 Benelli TNT 600 Leaks Ahead Of India Launch This Year

2021 Benelli TNT 600After a brief lull, Benelli is working aggressively to expand its India portfolio
In the BS6 era, Benelli has been slow to update its motorcycles to comply with new emission norms. For several months, it only had Imperiale 400 in the Indian market. However, things have started moving a lot faster in 2021, as the Chinese-owned Italian motorcycle manufacturer has already launched three new motorcycles – Benelli TRK 502, 502X ADV and Leoncino 500.
Benelli has plans to launch five more motorcycles this year in India, one of which will be TNT 600. The other four are TRK 502X, Leoncino 250, 302S, and 302R. One of the most awaited is TNT 600, which has now been revealed online via type-approval documents. This is likely to be the variant that will be launched in India later this year.
New Benelli TNT 600 design and updates
New Benelli TNT 600 packs in a range of visual updates. For example, the motorcycle gets refreshed side panels that flank the radiator. Another key change is the new seat unit that gets intake-style scoops on the sides. Headlight and colour TFT dashboard look similar to the updated units that were introduced in 2020 in markets where the motorcycle is still available for sale.
Talking about functional improvements, new TNT 600 has been equipped with a new swingarm. This looks similar to the one that was used last year for Benelli’s parent company QJMotor’s SRK600 motorcycle.
    2021 Benelli 302R
New TNT 600 appears to have Marzocchi forks and Brembo brake callipers. This configuration is similar to that of top-spec QJMotor SRK600. The motorcycle is expected to be equipped with Bosch dual-channel switchable ABS that was also available with the earlier variant.
    New Benelli TNT 600 engine
With the engine updated to comply with BS6 emission norms, power output is expected to reduce to 80 hp. In its earlier, BS4 format, the 600cc in-line four motor was capable of generating 86.24 PS of max power and 54.6 Nm of peak torque. This was mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
New Benelli TNT 600 is expected to be priced higher as compared to BS4 variant. The BS4 standard variant was priced at around Rs 5.60 lakh whereas the ABS variant retailed at a starting price of Rs 6.17 lakh.
As may be recalled, TNT 600 was taken out from European markets as well when Euro-5 emission norms came into effect. Now that the motorcycle has received type-approval in China, it is expected to comply with Euro 5 / BS6 emission norms. China has its own emission norms, which are similar to that of Euro 5 and BS6. KTM India Sales Decline, Exports Grow In Feb 2021 – Duke, RC, ADV

File photo. Credit – Indori MotoroidsKTM motorcycles in India are manufactured in Bajaj Auto’s Chakan-based facility near Pune in Maharashtra
KTM sales have been growing exponentially over the last few years, both in terms of YoY and MoM. However, that wasn’t the case in February 2021 when sales were down, especially in domestic sales. This could primarily be attributed to production delays which were caused due to constraints in unavailability of components and also due to fall in demand.
    Domestic Sales
The brand has been one of the leading premium bike sellers in the country in recent times. In February 2021, the Austrian bikemaker sold a total of 5,394 units in comparison to 6,470 bikes sold in February 2020 and 6,777 bikes sold in January this year. This led to a decline in YoY as well as MoM sales by 16.63 percent and 20.41 percent.
    KTM 200, 390 & 250 suffer degrowth
In the domestic market, 200 Duke was the most popular motorcycle from KTM in India with sales of 2,431 units last month. In comparison, the manufacturer retailed 2,900 units in February last year and 2,979 units in January this year. This resulted in YoY and MoM decline of 16.17 percent and 18.40 percent.
The company’s entry-level product Duke 125 came in next with a total sales volume of 2,200 units against last year’s February sales of 1,476 units which led to YoY growth of 49.05 percent. The figures stood at 2,516 units in January 2021 which meant an MoM decline of 12.56 percent.
KTM India Domestic Sales Feb 2021
However, the most disappointing of them all was the 390 series which recorded sales of only 451 units in February this year despite it having the most number of offerings. KTM sells three models in this space- 390 Duke, RC 390 and 390 Adventure. A YoY and MoM growth of 70.03 percent and 47.03 percent respectively were recorded last month.
KTM sells two models under the 250 Series- namely 250 Duke and 250 Adventure which combined to raked in a sales volume of 312 units. The figures in February 2020 and January 2021 stood at 589 units and 560 units respectively. This resulted in a decline in YoY and MoM sales by 47.03 percent and 44.29 percent.
    Export Figures
Things were slightly better in terms of exports as the Austrian bikemaker shipped 8,153 bikes to overseas markets last month. In comparison, the company dispatched 5,387 units and 6,814 units to overseas countries in February 2020 and January 2021. Thus it led to YoY and MoM growth of 51.35 percent and 19.65 percent.
    KTM India Exports Feb 2021
Out of all models, the 390 series was the highest-selling with cumulative sales of 3,034 units against 3,536 units and 3,354 units shipped in February 2020 and January this year. KTM 390 was closely trailed by KTM 200 with a total shipment of 2,982 units and recorded impressive YoY and MoM growths of 304 percent and 141.65 percent. 125 Duke and the 250 series recorded YoY growth of 40.12 percent and 251.65 percent respectively.
