India’s largest 2W manufacturer by volumes, Hero MotoCorp, has registered a total sales figure of 4,56,479 units as the company closed the sales account for the month of December 2025. There was a significant growth in Scooter sales YoY as the volumes more than doubled and Hero’s exports also saw a major growth in both YoY and MoM aspect. Let’s break down the numbers.
Hero Sales Dec 2025
For the month of December 2025, Hero MotoCorp witnessed a total sales of 4,56,479 units, which registered a 40.5% YoY growth over 3,24,906 units from last year and a 24.49% MoM decline as opposed to the 6,04,490 units sold in November 2025. This led to a volume growth of 1,31,573 units YoY and a volume loss of 1,48,011 units MoM.
Breaking down this number further, we can see that Hero MotoCorp sold 4,02,374 motorcycles which accounted for 88.15% of the total sales. Motorcycles saw a 34.79% YoY growth as opposed to the 2,98,516 units with a volume gain of 1,03,858 units. However, there was a 25.37% MoM decline over 5,39,128 units from November 2025, leading to a volume loss of 1,36,754 units.
Scooters accounted for 11.85% of Hero’s total sales. Hero sold 54,105 scooters last month, which was a 105.02% YoY growth as volumes more than doubled gaining 27,715 units over 26,390 units sold last year. There was a MoM decline of 17.22%, which led to a volume loss of 11,257 units.
The domestic market was Hero’s primary playground as the 4,19,243 units sold in India constituted 91.84% of company’s total sales. When compared to the 2,94,152 from last year and 5,70,520 units from a month before, Hero’s domestic sales saw a 42.53% YoY growth and 26.52% MoM decline.
Exports was the only area where sales fell into the Greens completely. However, exports only account for 8.16% of Hero’s total sales. Shipments to global markets stood at 37,236 units in December 2025, which was a 21.08% YoY and 9.61% MoM growth, gaining 6,482 units and 3,266 units in volume in YoY and MoM aspects, respectively.
YTD Sales
Analysing Hero’s Q4 CY25 sales and YTD sales, everything fell in the Greens. The total sales for Q4 CY25 stood at 16,96,777 units with 15.92% YoY growth split between 15,12,255 motorcycles and 1,84,522 units and 15,94,592 units sold in domestic markets and 1,02,185 units in exports. Total YTD sales stood at 47,54,549 units with a 5.22% YoY growth. The split was between 43,14,521 motorcycles and 4,40,028 scooters and 44,76,367 units in domestic market and 2,78,182 units in exports.
