Calendar year 2025 has been a very interesting one for India’s 2W industry. CY2025 stood witness to some of the most interesting bike and scooter launches across multiple genres, segments and price brackets. There were a few launches that made a bigger splash as they mattered more for the masses. Here are the most important bikes and scooters launched in 2025.
1. TVS Apache RTX 300
After 20 years of Apache history, TVS Motor has finally introduced an adventure tourer motorcycle, making it one of the most memorable bike launches of 2025. Apache RTX 300 was launched at an attractive price point of Rs 1.99 lakh (Ex-sh) and it debuted TVS’ new RT-XD4 engine with 35 bhp and 28.5 Nm, packing a host of features, technology and rider aids.
2. Hero Glamour X
Glamour X is the motorcycle that will go down the history books as the one to bring Cruise Control feature to the masses. Did the masses really need it on a 125cc bike while Hero’s and Harley’s larger motorcycles still miss it, is a different story. Glamour X is a solid attempt by Hero MotoCorp to make commuters more flashy and tech-loaded.
3. KTM 390 Adventure
The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure marks two major upgrades to this motorcycle. Previously, 390 Adventure used to be based on the same platform as 390 Duke. With 2025 390 Adventure, there is a purpose-built dedicated chassis for off-roading. Also, 2025 model gets the newer 399cc engine with 46 PS of peak power and 39 Nm of peak torque.
4. Hero Vida VX2
India’s electric scooter segment is on an upward rise and Hero MotoCorp launched their most ambitious EV in 2025. We’re talking about Vida VX2, which is India’s first ever electric scooter to come with BaaS pricing model on scooter’s sticker price, making upfront costs low. Other notable elements include removable battery, flat floorboard and more.
5. Hero Xpulse 210
After the success from Xpulse 200 4V, Hero MotoCorp has stepped its game in India’s entry-level off-road motorcycle game with Xpulse 210. This is the biggest update to Xpulse nameplate bringing a liquid-cooled 210cc engine, DOHC 4V head, a 6-speed gearbox, a TFT instrument cluster and more. This is by far the most complete motorcycle under Rs 2 lakh (OTR) apt for city, highways and off-road.
6. Hero Xtreme 250R
If Vida VX2 was Hero’s most ambitious EV, Xtreme 250R has to be its most ambitious motorcycle, featuring its first ever 250cc engine. This engine is also liquid-cooled and packs 30 PS and 25 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The best part about Xtreme 250R is its price tag of Rs 1.66 lakh (Ex-sh), making it more affordable than some 150cc bikes.
7. Yamaha XSR155
Speaking of 150cc bikes, Yamaha just launched one of India’s most desirable 150cc to 160cc bikes. We’re talking about the XSR155, which has been launched at Rs 1.5 lakh (Ex-sh), making it more affordable than MT-15 and R15. It packs a desirable styling package, while being mostly the same as MT-15 and R15.
8. Ultraviolette X-47
While Ultraviolette X-47 is not a typical high-volume mass market offering, it is one of the most important launches in India in 2025. That is because of the tech and safety promised, making X-47 the world’s first motorcycle to combine radar and cameras for rider assistance. Thanks to UV Hypersense intelligent in-house radar system, we now have collision warnings on a motorcycle. Powertrain also looks sorted with the 10.3 kWh battery promising 323 km and the motor is rated at 40 bhp.
9. Triumph Thruxton 400
From the house of Bajaj Auto and Triumph, we saw the launch of Thruxton 400 in 2025. Positioned on the same platform as Speed 400, Thruxton 400 brings a Cafe Racer aesthetic which is achingly pretty to look at. The 398cc engine is up-tuned to make 41.4 bhp and 37.5 Nm, mated to a slipper clutch and a 6-speed gearbox.
10. Honda CB125 Hornet
While Honda enjoys the massive success of Activa scooter in India, the company launched an ambitious vehicle in 2025 in the form of CB125 Hornet. This is by far the most premium 125cc motorcycle currently on sale in India, offering USD telescopic front forks, Type-C USB ports and even a TFT instrument cluster. It is priced from Rs 1.12 lakh (Ex-sh).
11. Royal Enfield Classic 650
In the year 2025, Royal Enfield finally launched one of its most important middle-weight motorcycles. We’re talking about the Classic 650, which derives its design from Classic 350, which is RE’s best-selling model by a long shot. This timeless design and the creamy smooth 648cc twin-cylinder engine forms a deadly combination.
12. TVS Ntorq 150
While Xoom 160 and Aprilia SR 175 were also launched in 2025, it was TVS Ntorq 150 which probably will have the most impact on buyers looking for a complete package. Ntorq 150 not only aims to offer a big displacement and high-performance proposition, but also excellent features and technology for an optimum price.
