Kawasaki 300cc ADV Spied In Pune – A Screamer To Rival Himalayan

Kawasaki 300cc ADV Spied In PuneThe same 296cc DOHC 4V liquid cooled parallel-twin engine from Ninja 300 will do duties on Kawasaki Versys X-300 spotted in IndiaThe iconic Japanese motorcycle brand, Kawasaki seems to be on the verge of expanding its lineup in India. Especially in sub 500cc segment. In that regard, we saw Kawasaki launching Eliminator 400 in India at Rs. 5.62 lakh (ex-sh). Now, the company is considering re-introducing its Ninja 300-based ADV.Where will Versys X-300 operate?India is no stranger to Kawasaki Versys X-300 that used to be on sale in India, albeit at a premium. Because it was based on Ninja 300, many components were shared between the two. The same ideology seems to hold with the new Kawasaki Versys X-300 that has been spotted testing around Pune.Kawasaki Versys X-300Adventure and lifestyle vehicles have been gaining prominence in the recent past. We saw the success story that Royal Enfield and Hero MotoCorp wrote with Himalayan and Xpulse 200 respectively. With champs, there are challengers and we saw Yezdi Adventure, KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS, Triumph Scrambler 400X and the new Himalayan 450.Honda launched NX500 too at Rs. 5.9 lakh (ex-sh), which is a multi-cylinder ADV/Tourer-style motorcycle. Kawasaki’s current ADV-style motorcycle for the mainstream audience is Versys 650, which costs Rs. 7.77 lakh. If priced around Rs. 4 lakh (ex-sh), Kawasaki could establish a decent bridge between Himalayan 450 and Honda NX500.Kawasaki 300cc ADV Spied In PuneKawasaki Versys X-300 Spotted TestingTeam Green currently sells Versys X-300 in overseas markets. Test mule spotted around Pune, India, looks very similar to the global model. For starters, Kawasaki Versys X-300 will be a Sports Touring/Adventure motorcycle. We say this because the test engineer is donning fancy riding gear with knee sliders and everything. So, there seems to be a sporty edge.Kawasaki Versys X 300There is a single-pod headlight housed in this handsome fairing. A tall transparent windscreen looks like it protects the rider from wind blasts. Speaking of rider, this test engineer is sitting quite relaxed with an upright seating position and centre-set footpegs. Rider triangle looks to be quite comfy for the long hauls.Conventional RSU telescopic forks take care of front suspension duties and we can see a mono-shock at the rear. Global model comes with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheel setup. The same was spotted in India too. We wish tyres were fatter, as 100-section front and 130-section rear look too skinny to be on a Rs. 4 lakh motorcycle.125cc and 160cc bikes are getting USD telescopic front forks and LED lighting all around and Kawasaki is less likely to implement both. What it will implement with Kawasaki Versys X-300, though, is Ninja 300’s 296cc DOHC liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that delivers around 39 bhp and 26 Nm, mated to a slipper clutch and 6-speed gearbox. Launch could happen by the end of 2024.Source More

2024 Kawasaki ZX-6R Showcased At IBW – Launch Bells Ringing?

2024 Kawasaki ZX-6RThe 636cc in-line 4-cylinder engine on 2024 Kawasaki ZX-6R is compliant with new emission standards, generating 130 hp and 69 NmTeam Green has been greenlighting multiple new launches in India from its global lineup. Recent of which was the launch of its pocket-rocket Ninja ZX-4R motorcycle in India for Rs. 8.5 lakh (ex-sh). At 10th anniversary of India Bike Week recently, the company showcased 2024 Kawasaki ZX-6R with a launch probably in the coming months.2024 Kawasaki ZX-6R Showcased At IBWThe middle-weight motorcycle segment is now used to define a broad range of motorcycles across multiple engine displacements. Originally, it used to define the 600cc performance motorcycles and Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is among the OGs of this segment. In India, 500cc+ segment is currently ruled by Royal Enfield’s 650s.But where high-performance fully-faired sports bikes are concerned, there is very little action. Suzuki and Yamaha are missing in this segment, altogether. Although, Yamaha might introduce YZF-R7 in the future and Triumph might launch Daytona 660. As of now, Honda CBR650R and Aprilia RS 660 are the only ones that Kawasaki ZX-6R will have to face. There is a sub segment in 600cc fully-faired sports bikes with lower-tier performance. This is where Kawasaki Ninja 650 is currently on sale. As opposed to CBR650R’s 86 hp and RS 660’s 99 hp, Kawasaki ZX-6R has the brownie points by packing 130 hp peak power with its 2024 model that was showcased at IBW 2023.Attractive ZX-6R 40th Anniversary EditionWhat changes does 2024 model have?As opposed to the motorcycle already on sale in multiple global markets, 2024 Kawasaki ZX-6R don’t get a lot of updates. The engine has been made emission compliant to suit multiple markets including India. Design-wise, there are a few changes that should lend subjectively small visual differences. Most of these changes are situated at the front. The ZX-10R inspired super-sport design is still retained. However, a few lines have been smoothened and there are a few curves in the motorcycle’s fascia now, as opposed to before. Other than that, 2024 Kawasaki ZX-6R is the same green monster that we remember it as.As per powertrains, ZX-6R retains its 636cc in-line 4-cylinder engine that generates 130 hp peak power at 13,000 RPM and a really nice 69 Nm of peak torque at 10,800 RPM. A 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, ride by wire throttle and a bi-directional quick shifter are notable elements.Ninja ZX-6RComponentry includes Showa SFF USD telescopic front forks with compression and rebound adjustability, rear mono-shock suspension with pre-load adjust, 120/70 front tyres and 180/55 rear tyres wrapped to 17-inch alloy wheels, dual 310 mm front discs and single 220 mm rear disc brakes, among others.Instrument cluster is a TFT unit along with Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity. There is an extensive electronic safety net including dual-channel ABS, traction control, ride modes and others. India launch is likely to be in the coming months and a price of around Rs. 11 lakh is probable.Ninja ZX-6R KRT More

Kawasaki W175 Street LaunchedThe new prices for Kawasaki W175 Street has been reduced by Rs. 12,000 at Rs. 1.35 lakh (ex-sh), which is introductory for a limited periodThe surge in classic bikes has hit an all-time high, in Indian automotive sector. However, this soaring demand for classic bikes is seen in the 350cc segment where Honda, Yezdi and Jawa are Royal Enfield. But lower down, Kawasaki intends to make a mark in classic bike space by launching Street version of W175 with revised pricing and added features.Kawasaki W175 Street Launched For Rs. 1.35 LakhPrices for Kawasaki W175 Street start from Rs. 1.35 lakh (ex-sh). This is Rs. 12,000 more affordable than standard W175 that was on sale till now. The Japanese brand has mentioned that the Rs. 1.35 lakh (ex-sh) price is introductory and will be subject to increment. Kawasaki didn’t mention duration of introductory offer and the standard rates after that. There are two new colours – Candy Emerald Green and Metallic Moondust Grey. Kawasaki is offering alloy wheels on W175 Street and since these are alloys, tubeless tyres make their way into W175 as well for the first time, adding a ton of convenience. Other than these, there are no feature additions or any changes to standard kit.Tyre size is the same too – 80/100-17 front and 100-90-17 rear. On closer inspection with spec sheets, there seems to be slight variations with seat height, ground clearance and wheelbase when compared to current model.[embedded content]The new colours add a dramatic effect with the black alloy wheels. With Metallic Moondust Grey, Kawasaki is adding pin stripes to ally wheels, something that Candy Emerald Green lacks. But Candy Emerald Green is likely to be the highest-selling colour as Green is Kawasaki’s signature shade and it is the only colour that has ‘KAWASAKI’ branding on fuel tank.Specs and powertrainsKawasaki brand name is the decisive factor in W175 Street’s buying decision. Other than Candy Emerald Gree, other shades from standard W175 and W175 Street have ‘W’ branding on fuel tank. Other design highlights include extensive blackened elements and retro elements that radiate timeless charm.Kawasaki W175 Street is still powered by the same 177cc single-cylinder air cooled engine that produces 13 bhp of peak power and 13.3 Nm of peak torque. The 5-speed gearbox is standard and resr of the componentry consisting RSU telescopic front forks, twin shock-absorber rear suspension, front disc brake and rear drum, along with conventional features list.Kawasaki W175 Street Alloy WheelsSpeaking of features list, there is a small LCD screen in its circular instrument cluster for trip meters and the likes. Analog speedo, halogen lighting all around, circular headlights and ORVMs speak of its retro charm. The primary highlights for Kawasaki W175 Street is its weight. Or the lack thereof. Because the figure is just 135 kg. If I was looking for a motorcycle to gift my father or uncles, this would be it. More
