VinFast is set to enter the electric MPV segment in India with the new VF MPV 7, which is scheduled to launch on April 15, 2026. Bookings have already commenced for a token amount of Rs 21,000 and can be made via the company’s official website or across its network of 50 dealerships in India.
The upcoming MPV will cater to both private buyers and fleet operators through a dual branding strategy. While the ‘VF MPV 7’ will be aimed at private customers, the ‘Limo Green’ version will target fleet buyers.
VinFast All-Electric VF MPV 7
VF MPV 7 will be the third offering from VinFast in India after VF6 and VF7 SUVs. It will enter the growing three-row EV space, where it will rival models like Kia Carens Clavis EV, Mahindra XEV 9S and BYD eMax 7.
Positioned as a premium 7-seater electric MPV, VF MPV 7 focuses on space, practicality and everyday usability. It measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width and 1,734 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. These proportions are expected to translate into a spacious cabin suited for family use.
In terms of design, VF MPV 7 borrows styling cues from VF6 and VF7, featuring LED light bars at the front and rear along with vertically stacked headlamps. The overall design combines SUV-like presence with MPV practicality. On the safety front, VF MPV 7 is expected to offer 4 airbags, electronic parking brake, steering-mounted controls, ABS and EBD.
The cabin follows a minimalist layout. The fleet-focused Limo Green version is expected to have a simpler interior, while the private version gets additional features. Key highlights include leatherette upholstery, keyless entry, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 4-speaker audio setup, automatic climate control, Type-A and Type-C charging ports, along with a telescopic steering wheel and height-adjustable driver seat.
Tech Specs – Performance and Battery
VF MPV 7 will be powered by a 60.13 kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 204 hp and 280 Nm of torque. The MPV is expected to deliver a claimed range of around 450 km (NEDC cycle). Charging support includes up to 80 kW DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 10% to 70% in approximately 30 minutes. VinFast is also offering a 10-year warranty on the battery pack.
Commenting on the launch, VinFast India CEO Tapan Ghosh said, “The VF MPV 7 marks another step forward in VinFast’s efforts to win over Indian consumers with modern, practical, and accessible electric mobility solutions. We believe this model will help redefine standards in its segment and become an ideal choice for families seeking a clean mobility solution that meets everyday practicality.”
