Mahindra has announced a new milestone for its Electric Origin SUV portfolio, with total sales now crossing the 50,000 units mark in India. This comes within a relatively short span since the start of sales, highlighting strong demand for the brand’s electric SUV lineup.

Sales of Mahindra Electric Origin SUVs started back in March 2025. Sharing the update, Mahindra stated, “50,000 strong and growing. India’s fastest-growing eSUV community is just getting started,” underlining the momentum behind its electric mobility push.

From 30,000 To 50,000 – Strong Acceleration

Back in November 2025, Mahindra had reported that its Electric Origin SUVs had crossed the 30,000 units milestone within just seven months of launch. At that time, the lineup consisted primarily of BE 6 and XEV 9e, both of which played a crucial role in establishing early traction.

Since then, the portfolio has expanded further with the addition of XEV 9S, which was also introduced around the same time. This expansion has helped accelerate sales, pushing cumulative volumes past the 50,000 mark.

Mahindra’s Electric Origin SUV lineup is spread across multiple price points and battery options to cater to a wide range of buyers. BE 6 is priced between Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 28.49 lakh, and is offered with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. XEV 9e is positioned higher, ranging from Rs 21.90 lakh to Rs 31.25 lakh, also with 59 kWh and 79 kWh options. Meanwhile, XEV 9S sits in between, priced from Rs 19.95 lakh to Rs 30.20 lakh, and offers a wider choice of 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs, giving customers more flexibility in terms of range and performance.

Growing Demand For Electric SUVs

Mahindra’s Electric Origin SUVs have been witnessing strong adoption across markets, driven by increasing acceptance of EVs as primary vehicles. Earlier usage data had shown that a significant portion of owners were using these SUVs for daily commutes as well as long-distance travel.

High monthly running, strong range utilisation and growing infrastructure support have contributed to rising confidence among buyers. A large share of customers also comprised first-time Mahindra buyers, indicating expansion of the brand’s customer base.

EV Momentum Continues

Mahindra has been steadily strengthening its EV portfolio, focusing on performance, practicality and everyday usability. The Electric Origin SUV range has emerged as a key pillar in the company’s future strategy. With sales now crossing 50,000 units and the lineup expanding, Mahindra appears well-positioned to build on this momentum and further grow its presence in India’s electric vehicle market.
