Suzuki Motorcycles India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) has been steadily emerging as a notable scooter manufacturer in the country. Especially in the 125cc segment, where the company offers Access, Burgman and Avenis. New gen Access was launched last year and Suzuki is launching new gen Burgman tomorrow, 2nd April, 2026.
Ahead of its launch, Suzuki has been teasing their upcoming maxi-style scooter on social media platforms. Recently, their second teaser for Burgman Street scooter went live, giving us more insights about this upcoming scooter ahead of its launch. Let’s take a closer look.
New Burgman Street 2nd Teaser Out
There were two maxi scooters on sale in India in the 125cc displacement bracket – Suzuki Burgman Street and Aprilia SXR. Aprilia SXR 125 (even SXR 160) has been de-listed on their official website, leaving the 125cc maxi scooter segment in the hands of Burgman Street and Burgman Street EX.
Suzuki is doubling down on this as the company is touting 2026 Burgman Street as “The One and Only” in the caption and in the teaser. From the teaser, we can see the full dual-pod LED headlights that lends this scooter a dominating and menacing stance. Also, there seems to be a new Copper shade with 2026 Suzuki Burgman Street.
Currently, Suzuki Burgman Street Standard Edition is offered in Metallic Matte Black, Pearl Mirage White, Glossy Grey, Metallic Matte Titanium Silver and Pearl Matte Shadow Green colours. Burgman Street Ride Connect Edition gets Metallic Matte Black No 2, Pearl Mirage White, Matte Blue, Metallic Matte Titanium Silver and Pearl Matte Shadow Green colours.
Burgman Street EX, on the other hand, does not get any variants and comes with Metallic Royal Bronze, Metallic Matte Black No 2 and Pearl Glacier White / Metallic Oort Gray colourways. Depending on the variant and colour, Suzuki also offers dual-tone plastics too, which lend a unique look.
What to expect?
With 2026 Suzuki Burgman Street, one can expect all the latest and greatest features and equipment that Access currently gets. These include the TFT instrument cluster with navigation, keyless go with smart key and a single-channel ABS system. Other notable features expected are USB ports, engine auto start / stop, silent starter, front disc brakes, all-LED lighting, a front windshield, alloy wheels, front disc brake, large underseat storage, a glovebox and others.
Where powertrains are concerned, 2026 Suzuki Burgman Street is expected to come equipped with the same 125cc engine as Access and current model with 8.5 bhp and 10 Nm. There are speculations about a 150cc model, but is less likely. There is a probability that Suzuki might offer 12-inch wheels as standard instead of offering a dedicated EX variant for that.
