In terms of design, the new model adopts a “Sleek Modern” theme. It features sharper bodywork with improved styling elements such as split LED headlamps with position lights, LED tail lamps, compact turn indicators, a smoked windscreen and metallic-finish emblems. The overall maxi-scooter stance remains, now with a more premium appeal.
Big Feature Update – TFT & Keyless
Feature additions are a key highlight. The new TFT variant gets a 4.2-inch colour TFT display along with Suzuki Ride Connect features. It also introduces a keyless ignition system with remote fob and answer-back function. Other features include USB charging port, dual front storage compartments, dual utility hooks, engine start/stop system, side stand interlock and waterproof switches.
Comfort and practicality have also been enhanced. The scooter gets a long and well-padded seat, flexible floorboard with front footrests, a redesigned grab rail and aluminium pillion footpegs. Underseat storage now stands at 24.6 litres, while fuel tank capacity is 5.5 litres with a tail-mounted fuel lid for easier refuelling.
Engine Tweaks For Better Rideability
Powering the scooter is the same 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine based on Suzuki’s SEP platform. It produces 6.2 kW of power at 6,500 rpm and 10.2 Nm of torque at 5,250 rpm. Torque has been slightly increased compared to before, aimed at improving low and mid-range performance for better city rideability.
The Burgman Street continues to use a lightweight yet rigid frame, paired with telescopic front suspension and swingarm-type rear suspension. It also gets Combined Braking System (CBS) for balanced braking performance. With added tech, improved practicality and enhanced styling, the new Burgman Street strengthens its position in the premium 125cc scooter segment.
Speaking on this launch, Mr. Kenichi Umeda – Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. said, “When we launched the Burgman Street in India, it created a distinct space for itself in the luxury scooter segment. Over the years, it has received an encouraging response, with sales doubling over the past three years. We have seen that Burgman Street owners take pride in owning something different.
Building on this insight, our engineers have developed the second generation with a focus on refined design, enhanced comfort, and a more premium riding experience. This new model truly represents ‘ONE & ONLY’ — delivering a unique combination of design, comfort, balance and real-world usability that sets it apart in the segment. We are confident that the new Burgman Street will continue to strengthen this pride among our customers.”
