The release date of Fast & Furious 9 has been pushed back to April 2, 2021, due to coronavirus concerns, the film’s makers announced today via Twitter. The film was originally set to open on May 22, 2020.

The film’s trailer, released in late January, and showed a Charger Hellcat Widebody, a customized Ford Mustang, and even a rocket-powered Pontiac Fiero. An orange-painted 2020 Toyota Supra along with a mid-engine Dodge Charger will appear in the film as well. WWE superstar John Cena plays main character Dominic Toretto’s brother and antagonist in the film.

Fast 9 isn’t the first car-studded film to be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Last week, No Time to Die, the 25th installment in the James Bond 007 series, had its release date pushed back to November 2020.
